In July last year, VilleActif!'s first season was broadcast on FedKids, and is due for syndication in the Minmatar Republic this month. The soundtrack for the first season, simply titled "VilleActif! - The First Album" is now available for download and purchase from all major music retailers.

The songs on the album were recorded separately from those heard on the holovision/television show, due to copyright issues, in turn causing the long delay in the soundtrack's release. Participating artists include Anette Inhonores as Luna, Oguko Monatave as Ikanos, and Virrent Cesatenne as Gaull Ghastly, with AI musicians filling in for the android cast. Instrumentation was provided for by human musicians, as it was for the original run.

Reception
Critical reviews to the soundtrack was mixed to warm, with less positive assessments stating that the soundtrack was "everything you would expect it to be from a children's show, and nothing else". The more welcoming reviews stated that the soundtrack was "endearing" and "definitely more authentic than much of the mass-produced kidspop". However, some did acknowledge that the "charm" will not be in "everyone's taste". Many felt that the release of the soundtrack was merely filler material when considering Anette Inhonores's much-delayed debut album, which is most notably being produced by 21-year-old Ji-pop (and sometimes controversial) star, Lanla Kaikai.

Some of my staff who have children are really looking forward to VilleActif, especially my planetary PA who is from Caille, she got to see the show in its original broadcasted format and has been talking it up ever since. I haven't seen it so I can't judge, but in any event I'll be glad when it airs over here because she may finally shut up about it then.

I don't find Ji-pop controversial either, I think it's a good thing, I don't care what they believe or sing about. If they're a little crazy all the better - if more crazy people gave up flying and made pop songs I think the galaxy would be a better place.
