Clever hiding your referral link like this.

FYI- Referral links have always been forbidden here. Either alter your post to emphasise that you're asking people to use your referral link to reserve your Username/Callsign, or edit it to give a non-referral based link.

Resident Haruhiist since December 2008.

Laying claim to Out of Pod Experience since 2007, plain and simple. Keep the trash out of Out Of Pod Experience, If it's EVE Related or deserves a Lock, it does not belong here.

A true Mechwarrior MMO (not the arcade fps style but old school like Jane's) would make me drop EVE instantly, this will have to do for now. Thanks!

It looks pretty but missile spamming, ballet dancing, gundam mechs make me go meh. Give me something with big stompy ground pounding mechs instead.

Games like these always manage to disappoint or annoy me, they throw out fantastic ideas and just turn them into a crappy RPG game where you have to level up to beat everyone else, when will game developers realise they've over-saturated the market with this crap? The only time I consider RPG games viable is for singleplayer or co-op and that's because you don't need to worry about game balance then.

Look at games like World of Darkness and the recent Old Republic, the old republic could have been a fantastic game if it was singleplayer or co-op multiplayer and I suspect that World of Darkness is going to follow the same route of all the other MMORPGs of offering up PvP for people who want to win easily.

When are we going to get another Everquest 1 where if you die you lose all your gear and half your experience if you and your 50 friends don't take down that dragon or giant quick enough? I bet if we had a Serious Sam MMOG people would love that idea because it would be just shooting down hordes of monsters constantly with your friends.

"don't get us wrong, we don't want to screw new players, on the contrary. The core problem here is that tech 1 frigates and cruisers should be appealing enough to be viable platforms in both PvE and PvP."   - CCP Ytterbium

I envisioned mechs that were slower moving. These things are just moving too fast and would make my head spin, it seems like COD or BF but with mechs. The gameplay looks just too unrealistic. The mechs in Mechwarrior and Heavy Gear were slower moving and it was more fun for some reason. Does anyone know what I mean?

Yes I dislike Gundam/Armoured Core style mechs personally myself. The last mech game I really enjoyed was Chrome Hounds, the mechs in that where like the ones in Mechwarrior. There where more mobile builds but they traded agility, durability and firepower for a wheeled chassis. The wheels where not skinny pathetic things either, they had huge dumper truck style hydraulic frame steering and they gained or lost speed slowly along with a wide turning circle at speed and where more vulnerable to damage than legs or tracks.

The squad and role based multiplayer with a persistent player influenced campaign was sweet to.

Key word old.

Armored Core went downhill IMO.
The original was the most fun, but two was good.
After that it went downhill IMO.

That's creepy. I had a friend who was a few years older than me, except I remember I used to crush THEM all the time...

I'm waiting Mechwarrior Online. Having played all previous Mechwarrior games I want a new game from that same universe - I don't want cheap copycats Blink
