No this is not a complaining post


I just want to share some experiences I made over the time and one of the purposes of this post is to lure casual players out of highsec Shocked

Background:

so for nearly the first six months in EVE I was a soloplayer in EVE, no corp, no pvp, just missioning getting skills and bigger ships. At the end of that period I was near quitting. But then I thought "hey maybe I should try playing with others". The first problem was to find a corp of a good size (not to small and in the same timezone) but also not to big. I did not want to be just a number. Second problem, I am a casual player...mandatory things in my recreation time annoys me. I had luck and found a relaxed group with the first try and then everything changed:

Okay here I was in a new corp in a new alliance, no clue what to do...in longterm career I mean. Market...not my thing with the 0.01 isk game, Mining...OH MY GOD IS IT BORING, Industry/Research...try to find a lot if you are in Highsec and have no POS :)...so I was doing L4 missions to make ISK and it was good but after some time...BORING. On the way I got an second account :).

IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY GET A SECOND ACCOUNT (in the longterm you can't avoid it, be it for hauling, PI, scouting or salvaging)

I have to point out here again that I am a casual player, I pay for my accounts because getting the ISK for plex is ruining the fun for me (remember NOTHING mandatory)

Then it happend my very first kill, I am not a big pvpler (even not a small one)...as you will see on my KB but hell I enjoyed the 3 minutes it lasts like hell. I developed a taste for the risk...it might be considered strange, I am not a hunter...I am prey and a frigging good one...as you don't get me often, I just like being hunted, it excites me if I see reds in local. At that point I developed a love for the cloak :).

So here I was still in HighSec...and then the griefer wardecs hit my alliances...one wardec after the other, only by corps with shinier ships, better organisation, spies etc. There was a time I really hated them (you might find some old posts of myself...YES THIS IS MY MAIN AND I POST WITH IT).

After some months...I switched the corp within the alliance...the alliance disbanded but my corp stayed together...mostly because we don't make a fuss about our KB or losing ships. But with wardec after wardec I got so bored of station games that I moved on...first WH, which are fantastic but also makes you a little bit paranoid and I hate spamming the D-scan (please CCP improve it), then I went to null sec...without my alt it would have been a really expensive experience...I admit I do not like bubbles and I was not really able to make ISK there.

Finally I thought give lowsec a try, as everybody is complaining how wasted it is...and here I found my new home together with exploring. I admit my income is not as good as in L4 in Highsec....but if you are careful, choose NOT a pipe system, its a stable income and not too dangerous (CLOAK IS YOUR FRIEND). It suits my casual playstyle as I don't have to care about wardec griefers (which rarely come to low and staying docked during a wardec because you don't have the numbers, skills or shiny ships is annoying and excately what the griefers want :)

so I am coming to the end of this wall of text and to the message I want to give......

Leave frigging highsec just for the experience, if it does not work you can always crawl back (as I did several times), the EVE universe is so large...there is a niche for you besides L4 in a NPC corp Lol just try it.

Seriously, don't take me serious, I MEAN IT...seriously

Nice try at baiting poor poor n00bs and high-seccers into going to low.....

TBH, low is a horrid, horrible place where you will get popped, podded or if you're lucky, only harassed in local, getting told all of the horrible vile things that will be done to your frozen corpse if you undock.

Stay out of low-sec avoid it like the plague, or you will die many many many times over and lose all of your precious isk.

I repeat, Low-sec isn't worth it, stay in high-sec

Devour to survive, so it is, so it's always been Eve is a great game if you can get past all of the asshats....

What's low sec? Is it some sort of mythical thing like faction warfare, bounty hunters and bar establishments for wis?

Nice try in trolling Ellessa,

first: who has the chat part of the local open :) all I need to see if someone is coming in or not....my local is reduced to the char info only.

second: low sec is worth a try if you are a casual player which is not fixed on the ISK/hour ratio,

third: getting killed in lowsec....sorry but if you don't warp to a safe spot and cloak in low when some nasty people enters your system (see sec standing and corp info) its your own fault if you are getting podded :)

finally...as mentioned low is my niche because I like being prey :) I did not say its your niche

Seriously, don't take me serious, I MEAN IT...seriously

If i spend to long in lowsec when i get back into highsec im like vietnam vet who cannot re adjust to society.

In lowsec everyone in system is of importance to you.

Go from that for a few weeks into a trade hub like Jita/Amarr and all you can think is "why am i not dead why are these people not all shooting me"

Lowsec is stupid, moms can come in and blob with no real counter, no bombs, no bubbles, huge blobs... low isk high risk...

I took the Bosena tour and I wasn't impressed, now Amamake OTOH......

It is absolutely the most beautiful star system I have ever laid eyes on, from the kickout stations to the daily smartbombing battleship shows on the Ossogur gate, it is a destination sure to please. Lowsec isnt as bad as people make it out to be


Sure, the pvp is horrible, but the new plexes make it worth while to scan and the PI isnt too bad.


People who are scared to go into lowsec are just pussies.

spend too much time in LS or 0.0 and the first time you jump into HS you'll yell on coms "GATE CAMP!"
