Be careful miners, a fraud and his corp in Goonswarm

I looked for a industry corp in recruite channel on 17 July, Kelgrim invited me, and told me I can join Merch Industrial if I pay 1 billion ISK as a refundable security deposit, he will be my sponsor.
He also gave me a website http://goonauth.com/ to show that is a goon policy.
but after I sent 1b ISK to him, he left me 2 invalid codes and then blocked me.Twisted
I also sent mail to the leaders of Merch Industrial, but they don't reply.

Its sad that this happens despite the many warnings ont he forums and long history of Goonswarm scams. I gotta ask mate, why in the world would you give someone a billion ISK as a security deposit? A deposit for what exactly? What are they securing?

You gotta think in this game, if you don't, be ready to get raped regularly.

Sad part is that not only does CCP condone this kind of behavior, they are rumored to participate in it.

The reality of Eve is that, if you don't love it like it is today, you should probobly go ahead and unsub.

Another tip: Folks that sit in Jita and SPAM SPAM SPAM contracts are frauds out to deci-EVE you and your isk..

The MOAR the SPAM.. the MORE likely its LAME!

Edit: I also enjoyed the "Niggeer" tyrant they had after I kept pointing out scam contracts.. I don't think they like when people do that.. lol

that website looks really nice (and even a little like the real goonfleet forums) but is not the site you are looking for...

That would have been https://auth.goonfleet.com/newbies/. The relevant bit is red, bolded and in italics.

Maybe this experience (not every website is what it claims to be, even if it has a nice layout) will at least help you to avoid phishing sites IRL...
