Intel - report and share with Corp/Alliance/Fleet/Friends

This is a idea for sharing intel in a more intuitive and comfortable manner with whoever you want without changing any game mechanics.
Here is a mock-up.

From Local: Report as usual
From Overview: Report Player and shiptype
From Dscan: Report Player and shiptype or only shiptype

Reports will be added to to map (+1). If somebody is reported in another system the report will "move" there (-1 for current system, +1 for the new). Shiptypes are only added once, except someone reports more than one (ctrl-select->report).
Reports will be removed if not confirmed in a given time.
Intelchannels can be added and removed. This will add/remove the intel of this channel from your map.
Reports are marked with [i] and can be turned on/off.

This will bring some kind of structure to intel and make reporting intel easier (not gathering!).
It also will save the intel for a certain time (in the map) so you don't need to search the last intel messages if you go AFK for a few minutes.

The shiptypes in the map are WIP and will be updated later.
I'm also looking for a solution to show the path of reports, but this seems to be very hard if there are a lot.

Interesting idea...

I quite like the concept of linking to chat channels. But why r-click menu? drag and drop like linking fits and items into chat as it stands now would be far quicker (specifically from overview whilst you try to attack a target, a quick drag drop). The existing code for inviting pilots to chat channels is also horrible slow to open the list, which wouldn't help (again when attacking and linking from overview).

From dscan would have to be "shiptype" and "shipname" i think, dscan doesn't give you the pilot name normally so I don't think it should be allowed to here.

Perhaps linking from overview could link the closest celestial so it becomes...

dscan: "ship type" "ship name" in "system"
local: "pilot name" in "system"
overview: "player name", "ship type", "ship name" in "system" as "celestial"

I think cutting it off there would be some good UI based improvements we could get short term... integrating into the map or whatever else would probably get this idea buried in the "when we do the new intel tool... whatever that might be... soon"

I think rightclick is better (for local and Dscan) because you can select as many people you want. You are right, drag and drop from overview fits it better in some situations. But someone maybe only wants to report and fly away, with rightclick he can do it fast for different channels. This maybe is a matter of taste.

If some is near enough you can rightclick and see who is the pilot. Thats the reasen for two different menus for dscan.
I thought about linking the shipnames, too. But you can change you shipname as you like every few minutes so the information is not realy trusty.

Linkig the closest celestial is a good idea. I'll try to move the the info in the Solarsystemview in the map with the next picture update.
