Vanity items and inconveniences

When clone jumping all purchasable vanity items are removed... This is well and good, but to put these items back on you are forced to remake your character photo... This is not good. Photos are a large part of what defines players in Eve and being forced to remake them is simply another reason not to bother with vanity goods.

Better yet, you can put them on, get your photo taken, and then sell them.

Yeah, noticed that the item was removed but it stays on my portrait. Not sure about CQ though.

what I'd like to see is luxury yachts. basically underpowered cruisers or battleships that exist solely for one's entertainment. Yes, they are premium ships, but who would take a battleship-sized vessel that only has enough powergrid (and turret/launcher slots) for two cruiser-sized weapons into combat? Even if it has a decent tank, it wouldn't be worth it other than to strut the fact that you give CCP a lot of money.

Then again, that's all the plex store is.

I have not bought any vanity items or done alot of clone jumping for awhile so not sure how this works.

I know if you clone jump your items do not come with you. But what happens when you clone jump back? If my clone A has boots and I jump to B, then back to A am I wearing the boots?

I just did jump and jump back. When I first jumped nothing exceptional happened, but when I jumped back, a table came up saying that the item will be removed and put into station hangar and it was, I now have both avatar with an odin eye and eye itself.

In Response:

Yes, for those interested I wasn't quite so clear in my OP.

When clone jumping all purchasable vanity items are removed from the clone of origin and put back into your hangar. This means when jumping back to that original clone you will not actually be wearing the items anymore in your CQ.

At this point it makes no difference. No one else can see your avatar anyway. But if you like seeing these items on your character (the only possible reason someone would buy Aur and clothes right now outside of your character photo) you have to re-fit them and then redo your portrait. This is annoying to say the least, and another reason to not buy vanity items at most.

The option to change clothes without updating one's portrait has been asked for ever since the Nex was first tested publicly on Singularity. This is simply another reason to add the feature. It is also another reason to ignore the Nex and all clothes if it is not added.

Personally, I have spent my free 1000 Aur on this account and never intend to ever buy any unless the system is upgraded to the point of being reasonably convenient.

if they were going to do that, make it something that's like a shuttle or freighter. no fittings, everything you get from them is based on the ships hull.
no cargohold to prevent it from being a nearly invincible shuttle. BS sized scan sig. a few hundred thousand EHP to prevent it from just being shot for no particular reason. it goes fairly fast, like 3-400M/s (it is not the size of a BS, but because of the luxury of it, they made no effort to lower the projected lockable information). and gets say +2 warp strength per level of some ship skill. tradeable on the market, but not refinable. when it's blown up it does not give anything when salvaged.
the explanation would be that they are highly defended ships designed for luxury travel through potentially dangerous territory. it's designed for running rather than fighting.
