I would suggest, if you want, mining in a Ferox. It has very little in the way of an EM hole, you can fit plenty of Miner IIs, it gets hulk-esque yield, and is way cheaper than a BS.

Also, learn to scan for gravs. They do exist in hisec, you will be 99% harder to gank than sitting in a belt, and Hulkageddon gankers won't bother trying to probe you down. Not that they can actually use d-scan.

I used this last hulkageddon, and it was hilarious. Nobody could even scratch the paint on my Hulk. Survived probably 15-20 attacks easily.

This another rendition for Hulkageddon:

RIGS ( 2 ) - Capacitor Control Circuit II

HIGHS: ( 3 ) - Modulated Strip Miner II

MEDS: ( 2 ) - Gistti B-Type Small Shield Booster
( 1 ) - True Sanshas Capacitor Recharger
( 1 ) - Invulnerability Field II

LOWS: ( 2 ) - Capacitor Flux Coil II

Shield resistances are much improved of course with T2 Orca Gang-Links...

Capacitor is steady with an average of 84-85% with shields running.

The only possible way you will avoid losing your ship during Hulkageddon is by leaving it in the station. There is nothing you can do to prevent your mining ship from being ganked. "Super Tanking" it merely means I have to bring another friend in a Tornado. If you decide to mine in a battleship and be uppity about it, we'll just bring more Tornadoes. While it is impossible for miners to comprehend that we are willing to throw away massive quantities of ISK to get you, try to understand; nothing will save you if you undock.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

Here is the best thing you could probably do during this event, DON'T MINE...
Seriously people, listing fits that you need to spend the same amount on mods as the ship itself costs? I for one won't fly a ship I could easily lose if the mods cost more than the ship itself. Get a friend, and go do lvl 4 missions. One goes and kills everything, while the other follows w/ a MWD or AB in a destroyer and salvages/loots all the wrecks. It's the most simple thing in the world. Well... Have fun with your 200mil ships and your 200mil fits which can, and will be shot down with less than 50mil worth of ships and mods.

Minners should take pride on minnig and deflecting ganks!! Thats 1/2 the reson so meany people don't respect minners is talk like that.

I can't wait till my indy alt is ready to mine during hulkagaddon!

Reminds me of a tale about a not-so-wise man who rebuilds his home in a tornado valley.

So he ponders, what if i'd use stronger, more expensive timber?

If you fly this ship the way you say you do a few guys in rifters with a buddy in free starter ship can gank you easy at no cost.

Few guys same corp.

One is alt in sad noob ship.

He shoots at you. Your drones attack.

You are now red to his corp.

Rifter opens up on you and concord does nothing about it.

They lost a free ship you lost your hulk.

Point of the story is drones out on aggressive can leave you dead.

Also it's pretty easy to get a high resist buffer fit with around 29k effective health. (( no faction mods ))
Mine in group with lots of logistics.
Stay in highest of secs and watch as guys attack wave after wave without a gank.

So firing on a ship makes you flashy to their whole corp? I remember otherwise, but that was 3 years ago.

I havent mined since Feb 2005 so I cant quite appreciate the subtle drama but it seems to me that if they fit so each kill costs the killer more than the victim (should'nt be too hard given new insurance laws) then the Hulkageddon joke is on the consentual rather than on the non consentual participants... but hey whatever rocks anyone's boat...
