Fit to counter ECMing Guristas?

I recently had a level 4 mission, Worlds Collide Serpentis/Guristas. Now as I'm flying in Gallente space, blowing up Serpentis is standard, but I rarely face Guristas designs. The number of hostile battleships hitting me with ECM meant that the only thing could I use with current skill-set/equipment, was drones on automatic - and they kept getting picked off so I wound up eventually skipping that pocket.

I would greatlyprefer to be able to direct the drones/use my own guns when I encounter this again, so for a Domi, what would be the best way to handle this situation? ECCM taking midslots/cap, Sensor backups taking lowslots, something else?

For starters, make sure you get aggro before using drones, so they don't get picked off.

Worlds collide got some triggers and changing aggression. You can't really "wait" for them to lock and keep a target.

Sentries and ECCM. Domi has extra mid/lows at the expense of highs, you have mids to spare.

ECCM does not work against gurista's jammers, since they have a fixed-chance jamming, not sensor-strength-based jamming as regular ECM modules or those wielded by sanshas/sleepers.
I, personally, prefer a bigger damage to kill off those jammers between jam cycles. And drones, but as noticed before, make sure you have the aggro.

Ah, you seek meaning? Then listen to the music, not the song.

Don't know where you got that from. It's all sensor strength based. Your t3 with sensor sub will get jammed a lot less than your marauder.

This ^^^ I have changed my sub on my tengu and have noticed a remarkable difference. Almost don't need to switch to FOF.

IF you get full agro in the Guristas room (and assuming your Dominix can handle it) there is only one rat that will switch to target drones (the Condor model frigate; can't recall what it's called -- Arrogator?). If you take that one down -- and, again, can handle full agro -- drones will do fine.

Otherwise buff up your ECCM. There are only (iirc) three BSs in that room that jam and after they're down the rest is just a slugfest.

Unless it was stealth fixed recently. But this how it was ~year ago. I'm not a big fan of guristas missions and even when i do one i tend to park a 2xkin+2xtherm activetanked Ishtar on orbit around can and go do some other stuff while drones take care of them rats.

Sensor strength has affected NPC ECM success for over a year, possibly since day one. http://eve-search.com/thread/1277798/page/1#11

Previously, ECM was pretty anemic because the time between ECM attempts by the NPCs was very buggy. However, when CCP fixed that bug and NPCs attempted to jam every 20 seconds, flying against Guristas got really silly until CCP tweaked a few missions.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I did Recon against Guristas yesterday and ECCM II - Magnetometric worked fine. I lost lock once, fired it up and never lost lock again.
