i was wondering, is true eve has a lot of lag on heavy loaded nodes like jita or fleet fights, but there are lots of nodes and solar systems that have very low populations and where the servers are basically just idling around.

cant it be made such that on this low populated solar systems the server comunication refresh rate be increased from 1 second to lets say, half second of 250ms? it would make for a smoother gameplay experience, specially when you ahve to keep turning modules on and off, and would make small skirmishes more enjoyable.

also, cant it be made such that the client caches and loads in the background data from the adjacent solar systems, such that when you jump between solar systems it dosnt have to waste precious time loading stuff.

and on the same node, maybe cache all the grids from the current solar system? (tho i think this one could be abused to get unfair intel...)

I would imagine that the software server is able to dynamically adjust the hardware resources that are allocated to each system based on the level of activity. But all the graphics are generated by the client so, that would depend on your own hardware resources.
