School of Space Combat Warfare (New Eden) Ratting Tracker
http://rt.sscw.info/

What is it?
The ratting tracker is a tool that tracks ratting and deaths in- and jumps to solar systems around New Eden.

What good is that information to me?
* If you do incursions, you can see what solar system in the incursion is putting out the least ratting and/or fewest jumps into system; logic states that in that system you will find more available incursion pockets.
* Don't like incursions? Into piracy or live in null-sec? GREAT! Treat this system as a hit list, find out where ratting is going on and drop in for a visit.
* Easily finding nullsec ratting grounds can be vital for dropping in on an unsuspecting super carrier pilot.

Why should I want it?
Maybe you do, maybe you don't want it... In the end the choice is yours, the tool is there.

Does it cost anything?
Yes, yes it does, every region other than The Forge is locked, but you can purchase a subscription to open up all other regions.
Note: paying more ISK at once will give you added time.
150,000,000 ISK = 30 days
113,000,000 ISK = 14 days
76,100,000 ISK = 7 days

Why does it cost ISK?
The answer is simple, greed.
* Incursion bears have the possibility of increasing their income with this tool.
* Pirates and nullsec corps/alliances can ransom ratters they locate with this tool.
So I ask, isn't it fair I get a small portion of that?

Why do I have to trust the site?
The trust is used instead of a username and a password, everything for comfort.

As a sign of good faith I have left 20 keys, each worth 5 days on the subscription portion of the site.

Really no username or password greatBig smile
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1011219So everyone and their whole alliance can use it for a couple ISKs a piece since someone doesn't understand what the IGB trust means really.

Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for the Eve API. Check out the Yapeal PHP API Library thread.

Please don't misunderstand my intentions, sure I said the system is using trust instead of username and password, but I also mentioned comfort, comfort for the customer, not to secure my ISK. In fact, I knew it was possible to abuse this system, but maybe you're right, I shouldn't be thinking about customers comfort, but my own greed first and foremost, especially seeing as the first reply has only that to say.

I don't get what this offers over what is available already on Dotlan, infact Dotlan is great for identifying popular clusters of ratting space just by looking at the map.

Interesting idea for a site, its just missing a USP at the moment. Big smile

[Edit]

As a suggestion, and a freebie, how about tracking systems and notifying users when it ticks over x amount of NPC kills in a hour, allows for logged off hunters to know if their mark has started ratting again.
