Every day the last week I've crashed to desktop at least once a session. It is down right annoying.

Every time I crash it coincides with a login que upon reconnect.

For the love of Eve please fix the node stability. I'm tried of it crashing me and a 100 others at a time.

I just want to bump this and say that I have had this same issue 12 times in the last 4 days, according to my minidump history. I'm sure it's affecting more than just the two of us...

Edit: ATI card, latest drivers, clean install of EVE. Also, I keep getting the following:

2012.02.02 21:32:33 SHUTDOWN [4612] Crashed (0xC0000005) for b336683, minidump written and uploaded in C:\Users...

It is always the same location and reason.

Bump. My game keeps on crashing repeatedly. At first, it was every 1-5 minute. Now it's every 10 to 30sec. I'm using an Nvidia videocard with the latest drivers by the way.

If anyone else is experiencing seemingly random crashing, can you please check to see what the reason for the shutdown is in the history.txt file in your APPDATA/Local/CCP/EVE/ folder.

At least if we are all experiencing the same problem, we know it's not an individual issue but rather CCP's error

Zhentar, I'm not very tech-savvy but I can't find a history.txt file in my EVE folder.

The location is not in the standard EVE folder, but rather in the c:\users\yourusername\appdata\local\ccp\eve\ folder.

In order to see it you will have to enable 'View Hidden Files or Folders'

Just checked: all there is, is a long list of dates and times (my connections to the game I suppose), followed by "STARTUP", followed by four numbers between brackets. Something like this:

2012.02.03 15:22:34 STARTUP [3408]

It's always written "startup". No idea what that is supposed to mean.

There should also be a line that says something like:

2012.02.06 01:08:48 SHUTDOWN [3852] Crashed (0xC0000005) for b336683, minidump written and uploaded...

if it is the same error I'm experiencing. I found a couple other people with this, but I'm not sure what that means and how to further investigate the problem. Hopefully CCP is reading the forum and may provide some idea what is going on.

Yeah, I have those but also about 30-35 SHUTDOWN lines now, all the same. Do you have crash logging enabled in-game? Perhaps it doesn't write the shutdown line if it doesn't upload the crash log.

It is always the same location and reason.

Try playing with LogServer active, then if it crashes again, file a bug report, put my name (CCP Snorlax) in the title, attach the .lbw file and the crash dump.

While the crash dumps are automatically uploaded and I look at those every day, getting logs as well as a description from you of what you were doing at the time can make all the difference in whether I can reproduce and fix the issue.

Getting 10+ crash-to-desktop crashes on each of my 3 accounts, it only happens in space, flying gate to gate, or in the middle of pvp combat.

This is making me regret resubbing, it's frustrating as hell!

Running the Log Server now, let's hope it tells us something useful.
