Got a few characters with AUR spread out over since CCP was so generous to promote it a while ago by giving it away.

I was bewildered however to find out that I couldnt send or receive AUR the way I can with ISK and I supose it s most likely due to some unwanted side effect if you could. Batwings if I know why.

Will we ever be able to?

Team avatar announced they will be putting a blog that will address what will be happening to the aurum nex and incarna for the short forseeable future.

I have a funny suspicion that incarna 2.0 however isnt going to be for another 18 months.

From the looks of it though aurum may be getting turned into a different currency, micro plex able to buy a day at a time.

Just buy whatever has the best AUR-ISK ratio off the nex, flog it off in jita, then buy what you ACTUALLY WANT.

Also, the free AUR just served to devalue the NEX as everyone cashed in on whatever they were able to suddenly afford. Prices were cut to 10% in doxdie.

Oh... but still if they are "removing" AUR i want and equivalent of the ones i have that would be 2+ PLEX

He does, nothing mentions that NeX or Incarna is cancelled at all and that custom paint jobs are very still much on thier way, to how the itneration however is still a 'mystery' though many of us are suspecting that there will be a price tag as well as genescultping tokens as well.

V3 project adds the various new ship paint jobs to all ships including several dozen unused and likley never will be used skins then again its probably there for resourcing in future assests in npc missions or events.

Despite being assest for buy a ship of another color V3 project has to get done first which from last projection amarr, minmatar and then eveyrthing else (stations, star bases, objects) we wont see being done within the year. Amarr and Minmatar was last stated to be very likely not done by the time for summer expansion. However would not surprise me if they do a partial release only getting a few of the base hulls redone.

Either way alternative colored ships is still somewhere out there brewing somewhere in the backlogs, interation and how it if and may wind up in players hands is still murkey and as far as NDA is concerned not known to us yet. CSM has a much clearer picture than we do but until this blog hits we wont know.

There is a specific reason why they say its a short answer. The subject behind it is very complicated in both technicallity and development and likely still being debated internally over and thrown back and forth at the office of possibilities if they may ever interate it and they honestly didnt want to get into it other than to at least address that to stop it being a 'near future' expectation and instead of saying yes and then make a broken promise. Its much easier to promise its not going to happen and then break that promise then to promise the stars and fail to deliver even a brown dwarf.

I will say this for all of you waiting to buy ships that are skinned you are probably going have to wait alot or much longer so might as well spend the aurum now and get your isk and invest with it.

I think all they need to do is allow you to create Aurum tokens, and
allow you to buy various blocks of game time through the NeX store.

Simple fix really, the tokens are already there, just allow people to
convert their unused AUR into a token they can sell on the market.
