That's actually pretty relevant. Too much audio notifications would get annoying after a while. And, knowing how CCP does things, surely they wouldn't be configurable enough so that they don't annoy most users after a while.

I would like Aura to read "You have been warp scrambled" or "You have been decloaked. That would be useful without breaking gameplay. Something that would be an interesting posibility is when you are trying to burn out of a gatecamp bubble while cloaked you hear increasingly frequent sonar pings as people get closer trying to decloak you. It'd be very red october..

There is no reasonable excuse for not having this. If local is going to be an intel tool (and it is - for now) and we have to watch the damn thing all the time, there should be the option for configurable audio alerts. Arguing otherwise really isn't any different than saying everyone should be required to play by pecking keys with chopsticks held between their toes because somehow it makes us more manly or something. Setting up an audible proximity alarm is THE SINGLE MOST OBVIOUS THING a pod pilot would do.

Besides, having to have local open constantly clutters the interface.
