Jump Clones, not as helpful as they could be.

Sorry guys, I can't make tonight's roam, I clone jumped to empire yesterday to grab a skill book and now I'm stuck in a billion isk clone for the next 8 hours.

^^Sound familiar to you? I currently run only one account, I do everything on this one account, so jump clones are pretty important for me, but I'm often left not being able to do one thing or another because I'm stuck in a clone on the other side of the galaxy from where I need to be or in a clone with implants I don't dare PvP in, in which case I log off and go play some world of tanks or something.

I propose either a change to the jump clone timer, reducing the time between jumps to something more practical (lets say 6 hours) or a skill that reduces it to a similar time at level 5.

I ask that anyone reading this who experiences the same issue show your support on this thread, because it's something I'd very much like to see changed.

Kind regards
Mike712

If you make jump cloning too easy, people will loose need to travel.

But I agree 24 h is too much. We all ran in same problem as you.

Maybe find some middle which would make all happy, like 12h?

I think 12 hours timer would work yes. If you were careful about when you jumped allowing for usual corp activities you'd hardly ever end up with the situation I'm on about where you're stuck and bored for half a day.

So either a straight 12 hour reduction of the timer or maybe a rank 5 skill that reduces jump clone timer by 10% per level, a pretty hefty train for the whole 12 hour reduction, but definitely worth it and a game changer if you're someone who relies on jump clones to get about.

if you JC somewhere you should know the consequences. 24h is way too low anyways, it should be 1 week at least.

JC should not and ARE not intended for regular moving across the galaxy. You should decide carefully where you want to be, so if you JC just for a stupid skill or for convinience, its your fault.

I jump clone for lots of reasons, I live in NPC 0.0, it's very hostile space, too hostile to safely make isk running sanctums or complexes, so I go to empire to make isk in safety. I go to empire quite often to buy and move ships to our logistics system to be moved to our 0.0 home by our corp carriers. Just because I NEED to do these things in order to keep playing I shouldn't be punished by having to wait a day to return to 0.0, it's ridiculous and arguing otherwise is illogical.

Simple solution(lol) would be to train and buy a carrier, but since our corp does free logistics it's seems a massive waste of isk and training time for a ship that would only be used to move stuff as we rarely field them in combat. And besides I'd need at least one extra active account for that to work.

like I said, for regular travel, if you need, use a (jumpable) ship, thats fine. JC arent for that.
If you make money where you dnot live, you SHOULD be punished. Why not? If I work far away from home, I get the bill and all the time lost for travel.

This is the sort of stuff that makes EvE inaccessible, I have one account, but i SHOULD be able to play whenever and do whatever I want in the game at any given time, not have to go play another game because I can't do anything today with my one account.

Now you're just being silly. If you can't give me a valid reason why I should be forced to ship spin or play another game because I can't choose to do something when I have time to play I will simply ignore you.

I completely agree. A 6 hour timer makes a lot more sense to me. +1
