So CCP: With the name change, there is still something lacking that seems more important...

While I can understand making ammo types easier to understand for the average joe, one thing that has always bothered me is the lack of data on usage.

so now we have ammo names that eliminate the need to look to see what type of damage it does, ok fine.
but what about all the other more important aspects of ammo and mod stats that are essential to gameplay?

so now I know I have thermal loaded, but what good is it if I have to break out a calculator and spreadsheet or EFT to know what my optimal and falloff range is?

or even to know what my optimal is with a certain weapon type regardless of ammo type?

all this info is still hidden away where the ammo damage type was hidden and seems much more important than what actual damage type it is.

it makes no difference what ammo I use if I'm outside my optimal and or falloff ranges.

it almost seems like taking a book on "advanced trig" and renaming it "hard math stuff" but still leaving the contents unchanged.

dumbing down the title makes no difference if I still need to read the book and understand the contents

The new names were designed to make the names consistent across all ammo sizes.

Also how hard is it to multiply 2 numbers? If you can't figure that out this really isn't the game for you

that wasn't the point, I'm well versed in my optimals.
obviously you mistook this for a "easy button thread" which it is not.

please post more practice threads on S/A before locking horns with me Blink
