Well incarna isnt multiplayer yet but it would be useful for when it does come live.

I want players to have a closet.
It be a place where they can store thier bought or earned clothes (and imo all pernament clothes need to be bound to the character in question similar to skill books, not removable then sellable.)

Make alterations to thier outfits and save the outfit arrangement and the pilots licence picture associated with it.

Going to an allaince war meeting? swap to your uniform.

Hanging out with some friends, go casual.

Going to a birthday ball go formal.

Running for CSM? Go executive.

And you only have to mess around arranging this in the closet ahead of time. Next time you need it walk in, click fit outfit and done.

This would also allow for destrucable clothing to be less of an issue as well when you wake up click and replace your lost outfit no need to go into charater creator just closet, fit, done.

Um, no. EVE is not about wearing different clothes and looking pretty. It's about piloting internet spaceships.

DEVs do not need to work on useless crap like changing outfits. This would be completely pointless and serve no in-game purpose.

I am not sure if you heard but they did form team Avatar to start working on WiS again and I was told to FnI ideas concerning WiS here.

Eve is not about spaceships its about the people who fly them.

Either way you wont see a major walking in station update for at least another year.

Dust 514 is on thier plate.

War is on thier plate.

and you are much more likely to see the NeX 2.0 come out well before wis gets swacked again.

Also for a guy who protests the idea of people in this game you are certianly not protesting like one with no face.

Sounds like a reasonable suggestion particular for people that are into RP.

I do think that this could use some work in the long term. The question is... if you're putting on a suit with premade NEX items, and the NEX items aren't in the station with you... do they get worn?

Currently, it's not a big deal, but in the future this would be more than just for "RPers". There are a lot of reasons to be able to change clothes quickly when you actually implement multiplayer social environments. By emphasizing social behavior, people communicate through clothes and the more you facilitate that for certain people, the easier they can quickly perform these tasks and get to socializing.

I think a lot of the principles under-pinning the last wave of Incarna developments were correct. What happened is Incarna became the victim of the NEX store philosophies and marketing ideology. It's not the Pay for Stuff model that was the problem, it was the NEX's reliance on too much market speak to justify overpriced goods without any delivery to the average player that made it absurd.

Incarna is to Bill Clinton as the NEX store is to Monica Lewinsky.

Even though Bill was a great guy, but dicking around with the wrong fat chick really makes you look like a total ass. The NEX Store is a fat chick.

Where I am.

well the thing is it would also resolve the issue of not so pernament clothes that are lost upon death, your favorite outfit no longer worn when you wake up short trip the to the closet and rebuy them all just like you can a ship fittings.

a infinite number of nanites stored in your pod fluid replicate cloths worth more as your ship including its crew to store it in your closet on every station you dock and for every clone you jump to all for your convenience.

makes sense

eve needs serious rethinking on most the WIS scifi elements before it can be extended in a way which makes somewhat sense.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Allow me to quote Brian Regan...

Brain Regan wrote:
" 'I' before 'E' EXCEPT after 'C', and when ryhming with 'A' such as Neighbor and Way, and on Weekends and Holidays and all throughout the month of May, AND YOU'LL ALWAYS BE WRONG NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY!"

Ouch, that's a tough rule...

But I still agree with your idea.

I have another quote to show you, from Star Trek Enterprise:
Commander Charles Tucker wrote:
What's the most important part of the ship?
The Weapons?
The Engine?
It's the crew. And the LAST thing you want your Captain to be thinking in an emergency situation is 'Damn, I wish this chair wasn't such a pain in the ass'

End of Line.

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

C'mon admit it. You want a closet so you can hide in it. Lol

Sorry, couldn't help it.
