EVE has a set of PVP-geared ships, like the Retribution, the Tornado, Sabre etc
You *can* do PVE in them, but it's not very common.

I think we need a ship that receives smartbomb bonuses. Think of the insanity at the Perimeter gate in Jita, and all of Uedama Twisted



and for you bears: We need a ship that gets bonuses to fartsniffing aka gas mining. This would make LADAR sites much more popular.

EDIT: misread of course... why do you think this is necessary. It certainly isnt needed to facilitate smartbombing on high sec gates unless you are really bad Big smile

Why don't we give it the ability to actually launch real bombs instead

and make it real vulnerable but let it warp cloaked to make up for that

and oh wait we already have a ship like that it's called a stealth bomber

I support TheButcherPete in all his endeavours and suggest that Doc Fury should HTFU, go back to WoW and, principally, get a new thing to post on the forums instead of the same old "LOL GO TO F&I!!!!" crap.

Even with that impressive range it would require a massive bonus to speed in order to get there in any kind of reasonable timeframe...say...less than a year? lol

Actually, I think it works depending on the smartbomb effect range.
Normal 'Notos' bombs have a range of 5km, and you can't activate them until you're 5km from the station, so if the ship got a range bonus (lets say 35km) it would force you to be 35km from the station to operate. Though I've never tried to activate micro/small/medium SBs to gank in any system

And i love it !

10km smartbombs are waaaaaay too expensive for practical use !

Seriously...the problem is going to stem from everything you hit in your AOE. CONCORD does not like you hitting most of what you would hit in your AOE.

The way I understood it, and its perfectly possible I'm wrong since its not my playstyle, but faction smarts etc can be fired off nearer than you would expect of normal bombs... with regards gates, stations etc.

Uh.. I'm too tired to explain that better and am probably wrong anyway... it sounds wrong.

bah a few hundred mill in SBs will melt 3/4 of the jita undock for about 200b in loss Twisted

I'd like to see an AoE option that doesn't revolve around wasting days doing nothing and having to grind millions of ISK so solo and small groups can run around causing havoc like this game should be about. I had originally asked for at least being able to have self-destruct AoE which I personally would use to spam at gatecampers until they gave up and left but there are certain pussies about who don't like that idea.
