Basically, what CONCORD does is instead of destroying your ship, the target it and perform every method of electronic warfare possible on it, and then they force-eject your pod from your ship and prevent you from boarding ships until the countdown completes. Everytime you undocked with a ship, they would do the same thing to that ship.

Obviously, you wouldn't get the same treatment if you were in Low Sec or you had a low Security Status.

Just a thought to make the game more believable.

Think about it. If you murdered a man in real-life with a gun, would the police blow up your car with a Rocket Launcher, or would they impound your car and send you to prison?

Or perhaps you could replace 'murder' with 'drug trafficking', take your pick.

If you shoot at them or other people, they won't ask questions and just shoot back. Think about it.

If I shot someone, I'd probably get shot before I did it again.

With this system, I'd never lose a ganking ship again. Literally zero risk not suicide ganking? Yes please.

Obviously, if you had a low security status or repeatedly did it, then it would be a problem.

And CONCORD would impound the ship and you would have to pay a fine to pay it back, depending on how much you spent on it and how serious the offence was and how low your security status is. If you have a low enough Security Status to get a bounty, they would still just blow you up. If you commited too many crimes, they would still blow you up. If you attacked a CONCORD officer, they would blow you up. If you used a Smartbomb on someone or if you podded someone, they would blow you up. If you simply attacked someone without having permission to do so, they would capture and impound your ship.

So...

Why?

If they're going to kill your ship most of the time anyway, what's the point?

Sometimes, do things on accident. A friend of mine was invited to a PvP recently, but they forgot to canflip the person, so when they attacked CONCORD swarmed them and blew up for ship. Or you might be doing a Courier Contract and end up transporting illegal goods without knowing it.

I also think that it would be more realistic, more believable.

So... Forgetting to can-flip before attacking someone out of the blue...
Like a poorly prepared, premeditated crime, does not warrant punishment by Concord?

Plus, as the impounding of the ship scales with it's worth, a permanent impound (destruction) is the same...

So I'll stick to rule number 1:

Don't fly ships you can't afford to loose

or

Fly PVP in frigates until you can afford bigger ships---

you are not murdered. your ship is destroyed. your clone would be intact. and if so. you're just a clone. so no harm done. it is only inconvenient.

Imagine CONCORD less as a "modern police force" that issues citations for merely pushing people and more of a "grizzled 'old west' sheriff" that enforces destruction with destruction to make a point on where the "line" is... and nothing more (because "boys will be boys").

"Ignorantia juris non excusat."

And I don't think the customs police can see through courier wrapping paper.

Just because a friend didn't can flip before firing, or someone you know wants to haul illegal stuff, doesn't mean your idea is a good one or needed.

I say, no thanks to your idea as it's a bad one.

Justifying game mechanics with role play. Epic.

How about, instead, there should be a big flashy warning telling you what you're about to do and what the consequences are?

You mean like the one you get for unprovoked aggression in hisec that apparently everyone shuts off the first time it pops up?

Exploding ships is a good thing. There needs to be more opportunities to remove resources from the game not fewer.
