If you deliver s*it you will get s*it. It is simple as that.
Now think about it for a while and then get back to work.

Don't forget the minimize feature and all those buttons which got hidden by default. The awesome cargo container icons, scanner icons and random notification icons together with all sorts of icons make it even more enjoyable.

Couldn't have done better myself, but left little briefing to the official thread anyway.

...and I did get rid of the chat button but mr optimal told that I was bad fellow and he promised to make sure that it will not be possible to exploit his buttons after next batch anymore... That made me very happy panda.

i love the fact that CCP still have not learnt.

Yay all this new junk in a patch - fair enough, its FIS content well done.

You open the front door then get bumrushed by a convoy of bugs that have taken over a steamtrain.

Lets see!

Map opens to just a solarsystem map, the panel that allows you to search / change from solarsystem to universe is gone. reset of window positions does not fix it.

launch drones! go my pre..... oh wait... where'd the drone window go? *resets window positions* nup, still gone. Yippe?

ok! Let's fire a survey probe at a moon that's got a friendly pos on it just to.. OHGODWHY WHY DID IT KILL ME?? oh, firing a gauze survey probe at a moon aparently causes aggression! Totaly makes sense, they're very dangerous probes!

oh cool i can re-organise the buttons on the side now, oh wait, it forgets the settings every reload and buttons go missing randomly. Awesome stable feature.

Dont bring the food to the ******* table CCP unless its cooked properly, jesus ******* christ.

I would just like to point out, that with the new neocom, I can make it look exactly like the old one.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

So how'd you get chat channels to stop minimising to buttons instead of easily identifiable tabs with titles and channel counts.

How'd you prevent cargo hold and station containers to stop adding a button to the neocom to inform me that the container that I just opened is now in fact open.

How'd you prevent the neocom having a list of blue i's down it after opening a few containers and agent conversations.

I'd love to know how you made it look exactly like the old one. Please explain.

Hurry up GW2.

+1 OP

The new minimizing all into i's icons is frustrating.

It looks like the guys at CCP wanted their neocom to look like the windows seven taskbar. The mistake they did was to forget windows seven taskbar is customizable.

Icons are great, with a simple picture they allow you to know where to click. But in the new neocom they perverted icons into clues, they all look the same, it might be the agent discussion, a mail, or any minimized info box, and now it's our job to go check any of them to find the right one...

CCP I'm not sure you want the EVE UI to resemble the X games do you?

My feeling is that the UI suffers from trying to meet 3 unspoken requirements:

1) prevents all the crying when a player suddenly can't do something or access something. this is the 'idiot proofing' that means some icons can't be removed when others can

2) makes game play 'hard' - this is the worst problem to my mind. There are a number of game play elements where they are only a challenge because of the amount of UI interaction you have to do. Whenever these are brought up on the forums you get all the usual complaints - oh it will be too easy then, bots, etc. However I would contend that actually the problem is that if you have a game play element that needs you to make a bad UI in order to make a challenge then your underlying game design is wrong (or could be improved)

3) having a clean customisable UI that doesn't get in the way of the experienced players who want to customise for maximum efficiency in their given tasks

and obviously you can't change *anything* without a lot of moaning anyway

I personally think (2) is the biggest problem. This approach may have been a sensible compromise as the game was built but now should be being phased out given the resources of CCP. Making an easy task harder by making UI interaction more difficult always favours those with more time and the attitude to work round things - hence for example the perceived domination of mining by bots - basically mining is only game play at all because you have to interact with the UI - the reality is that it is a mundane auto-matable task.

OP should use one of the dozens of threads he's already created or has shed tears in.
Serious, HTFU.

The new neocom is better in every single way, except for that one tiny bug which is going to be fixed.

I realy dont understand why the all the b.tching about new neocon. Its fully customizable and scalable. Dont like that "Start E" button? just drag and drop your favourite icons on panel. Problem solved. Old one wasnt so customisable like this new one. So grow up and try to learn new things.
