The Abaddon is now called Amarr Laser Platform III.
The Avatar is now called Amarr Phallus of Dominance.
The Hyperion is now called Gallente Phallus of Dominance.
The Ragnarok is now called Minmatar Phallus of Dominance.

These are just a few of the new ship names being implemented in the near future. As you can see, they easily add to the sci-fi theme that Eve Online has while maintaining ship diversity and ease of discernment among the varying types. In additi--I can't do this anymore. I'm sorry. The name changes were awful. Now all my missiles are sorted by damage type and not by size and use. My prop mods are simply named new, generic engines. Thanks for a wonderful update that totally adds to the game. This will surely bring in those hordes of subscribers Hilmar desperately needs.

Give us back our missile and prop mod names, thanks in advance.

Also how is changing Thunderbolt to Mjolnir 'making things simpler'? Nova? Trauma? It's dumb and arbitrary, just like the majority of name changes CCP decided to push through.

I believe that firing weapons with function keys is too hard for people to understand because there isn't keys with function label in keyboard. For this reason I suggest that to fire slot one group or cannon user needs to write "fireone" with keyboard and click shiny spinning confirmation button with mouse to activate the module(s).

This would raise the users combat experience to same professional category where the new shiny renamed items already are.

The missile pictures were ******* color-coded.... failing that, you can show info, failing that... god forbid you have to remember a few names.

sorry, but If someone can't remember those, how will they ever like eve? Unless you change eve on a very fundamental level, they won't. And changing eve on a fundamental level is bad, and that's why people are scared / angry / miffed about this first round of changes.

Given the apparent aversion to actually reading item descriptions or recalling small tidbits of information for a game, that many people display- I say we appeal to a common denominator and appease all.

Let's rename everything using television commercial jingles or tag lines....

So instead of levels of insurance you would simply either be "in good hands" or "not in good hands"

The Drake should be called "so easy, even a caveman could fly it"

All shield or armor resist/extender/hardeners should be various scripts for a module called "Viagra" (the comedy sorta writes itself for that one)

Remote repair should be "I am stuck on band-aid brand"

Laser equipped, armor tanked ships just levels of "heartbeat of Anmatar"
Minmatar ships "Quality is job none"

Security status for systems should be things like "Don't wake up in a null sec ditch, get Direct JC now"

(I'm sure all these references to commercials on US television are probably lost on players everywhere else..but this is America, myopia is a virtue in these here parts)
