contracts scams/spams! - change default "sort pages by" to "price (lowest first)"

example usecase
average player tries to find the cheapest contract for an "imperial navy heat sink". even uses "exclude multiple items". he will sort the returned contracts by price by clicking on the column price.

problem
search result will be: "found 1000 contracts" (i guess there are more but search stops at 1000?), you get 10 pages. why? the average user does not know that the first sort is already done server-side (mostly overlooked "sort pages by" in the top right corner, which sadly defaults to "date created (oldest first)". further, he does not realize that the sort by clicking on a column headline, the second sort, is done client-side, but only sorting within each page of 100 contracts.

this is the only reason i can imagine that it currently works spamming almost scamming contracts (price >= factor 2) for some items. a lot of inexperienced players will just give up on the usual mass of returned contracts or do not know how to make the search more selective or that they need to change the "sort pages by" setting.

this deficiency is currently exploited by a few corps, almost the first 190 contracts (2 pages) return identical contracts for 124.999.999 isk for 1 navy sink in default "sort pages by" order. when you e.g. limit the max. price to say 80mil you still find 271 contracts, but the cheapest navy sink will now be visible for 55 mil, but also here on page 2 of 3.

solution
all this unneeded spamming/scamming could be prevented if "sort pages by" would be by default changed to "price (lowest first)". i am 99.9% sure all spamming of contracts would be gone forever.

Makes sense to me to set the default to lowest price first.

I don't even bother with contracts because of this.

^This.

Just add packaged faction/deadspace mods to market. Save contracts for the various odd unpackaged combination of things that truly cannot be incorporated into market.

Totally agree on that, I wonder why took you so long? Why was it not this way from the get go?

When things make sense to me, I go with them from the start, guess I'm weird! Shocked

FYI, this was slipped into the Crucible 1.1 release.

Which seems to have broken one of the old-time market scams where folks would fill the first page of results with over-priced modules.
