Anyone else having this issue, says server status is unknown literally all day. I even cleared the cache and reinstalled.

Yeah I ran the patch and updated/restarted when I first opened eve, and then this started happening after it restarted.

Perhaps your firewall thinks that EVE is now a new app after a patch and is blocking it? That way I could see it showing "unknown" all day - firewall blocking the client from contacting EVE servers, so the client stays confused.

I've read into the other threads, they seem to be having different issues.
this is what's happening,
Open client, get to login screen and server status is unknown, have to sign eula every time, and then the game never loads.

Seems like another instance of :ccp:

Same issue, I posted here.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=61731&find=unread

Interestingly enough I can log into my characters in W-space, just not K-space.

I've done the same as you, reinstalled, cleared cache, turned off and on, CQ, messed around with settings, repaired, etc...

I use Windows Vista, an NVIDIA GTS 250 and have an Intel Core I5. Game ran as smooth as you could possibly ever hope for prior to this patch, even with multiple accounts running. I am letting my subs lapse until they fix it or I buy a new PC. it appears too few of us are having issues for them to really get on it. In my entire alliance, its just me. They apparently cannot narrow it down to a graphics card or OS.

If this is a hardware issue because ccp sucks at code then I'm going to let this months sub never get renewed(since I'm playing on a 1000+$ laptop that's less than 2 months old) Sad, and it makes me really really sad to say that. Anyways thanks for the help, going to read through that thread

Sorry to hear about your problems , m8.

all I know is I was sh**ting bricks because I disconnected at least 15 times while I was running three clients.
and then it was having a c-section birth just trying to dock all three characters up.
I have 4 G of memory on an I 7 computer and no way in hell have I ever disconnected 15 times in a span of less than 15 minutes.
whatever ccp is doing with all these damn new updates, they had better find out WTF is going on because it's seriously messing up my game time.
to hell with "gimme skill points" , I want a day of game time credited back to me. (ofc it will never happen) XEvilTwisted
I don't want to hear any excuses, their damn updates are royally screwing things up.
how many times does a person have to "clear the cache"? It's an epic "lame poor excuse " for fail I T scrubs. get your s*** together or find another fricking real job.

How to explain this.

I can drop a message in a bottle, throw it in the ocean and hope you get it. That's like posting on the forum asking for tech support from a company.

Alternatively, I can write a letter, put it in an envelope with a stamp and mail it to you. That's like filing a petition.

Thus ... file a petition if you want help with a problem. You'll likely save yourself a lot of bump frustration waiting for that bottle to drift to Iceland and hoping that a reindeer doesn't eat it. (Or a polar bear or whatever)

I hope they can help you sort this out.

I filed a petition and you should see what the GM wants me to do for CCP. Its a long list of computer things, including downloading 3rd party programs, I have no intention of doing to play a game. Its like you having to go to the doctor and instead of him helping you, he writes on a piece of paper how to remove your appendix and hands you a scalpel. Either CCP makes the game work for me, or I move on.

No, what you are suggesting is more akin to you calling the doctor, saying you are feeling ill and him asking you to come see him so he can check what is wrong with you. He asks you to sit on the bed. You refuse. He asks you to breathe deeply so he can listen to your lungs. You say no.

That is pretty much the case here by refusing to help them diagnose the problem YOU are experiencing.

If, however, they send you a copy of the source code and tell you to fix your own problem you might have a case. But they're not.

You can file a petition from Account Management on the website.

Go to www.eveonline.com, navigate down the left hand side to get to EVE Support. Click to expand and click on Create a Petition. That will take you to the support page. Click Create Petition again. There will be a link to login through the support site.

Do so, and voila - create your petition without needing the client. It is not that difficult.
