Path Finding

Approach object, ship attempt to find most optimal path with minimal collisions. Most/all calculations done quickly on client. Nice little path appears in hud to show the ship's plan.

All warfare is based on deception and logistics. Battles and soldiers are secondary priorities.

hmm not bad...this plan should be changeable to my wish.

would be nice to have a sort of waypoint system in the tactical overlay. to plot your desired waypoints.

Would suck to plot 3D path in real time using EVE's clunky UI (think about probe positionging but worse). Though idea itself is nice.

I'd rather just have optional manual controls...Black Prophecy did those fairly well

^This. I don't know about Black Prophecy but sometimes I miss proper manual flying...

Sorry, but most people have a 3-second Ping time with the EVE Servers. Not only that, but the server only refreshes everything once every second. The client makes everything look smoother. So no manual controls.

But automatic pathfinding would be nice. I can't tell you how many times I have to destroy Rogue Drone Structures just because they are in the way of an acceleration gate.
