Faction module prices crashing

It seems like faction module prices in Jita have suddenly crashed. CN Ballistic Controls went from 165 to 100, IN Heat Sinks went from 100 to 55 and RF gyros went from around 130 to 70.

I expect this is related to incursions somehow. Either all the bears have the pimp they want, and stopped buying modules, or they ran out of money because of people ending incursions quickly recently. Either way I didn't expect it to be this sudden. Does anyone know what is going on here?

Crashing compared to when, a year ago? The "new" prices you stated are where they've been for quite some time. Stop posting disingenous crap.

Stop this right now.

CN Ballistics have NOT gone down from 165 to 100; you've just learnt to sort contract pages by lowest first rather than oldest first.

Imp Navy heat sinks have NOT gone down from 100 to 55; you've just learnt to sort contract pages by lowest first rather than oldest first.

RF gyros have NOT gone down from 130 to 70; you've just learnt to sort contract pages by lowest first rather than oldest first.

And yet when I look up the contract history of the corp goonfleet investments I see hundreds of overpriced mods selling at the prices in the op. Strange that you would deny it.

Then you've not been paying attention. Or you are a huge ***** - hey, you called it.

My (public) contract history is full of CN ballistics at 100m +- 10m for the last three months. Those prices were set because they were the going prices, not because I was on some noble crusade to supply the denizens of Jita with vastly underpriced mods.

But if you knew they were selling for 165 and you had loads of cn bcs and you knew about it then surely you were on some noble crusade to supply the denizens of Jita with vastly underpriced mods. :S

Alt of OP?

Whilst I am pretty damn awesome, even one as phenomenal as I is unlikely to have the cash flow and resources as the entire goonswarm alliance - therefore I price my goods around the low sell price current on contracts because, unlike goonswarm, I generally want need all my contracts to sell at an advertised price point within the two week period.

Sure it's possible to sell via contracts at above going rates, taking advantage of those (like the OP) who forget to change the default page sorting. But by and large, if you want to sell your goods within a fortnight, you set the going rate and you're good.

Those who follow the (now defunct) Faction Trade mailing list, and those who follow contract prices know that the going price of faction mods has been stable (with a gradual upswing) for *months* now. This attempt to suggest otherwise is either the mark of ignorance, stupidity, or poor manipulation attempt - which are you?

I'm not surprised that goonswarm investments is selling overpriced mods to people who don't know how to sort contract. No not in the least.

Hmm, maybe the patch changed the default? CCP guy was mentioning in other thread that the sort-by-price would be more logical.

Stealth change as of Crucible 1.1

Default contract sort order is now lowest first. This has already led to the suspension of trade for one of the larger faction resellers.

The price crash is purely down to the killing of incursion moms by D3 and his buddies.

There are no hi sec incursions - therefore the mods are now worthless (comparatively).

It is hardly rocket science.

The question should be, how long will their interest last. The answer is quite simply, until people stop running incursions.

Once there is nobody to grief then the attention will move elsewhere - or they will keep harvesting moms.

Either way the market is now gone. Get over it.

What will come next is somebody trying to stop the mom killing - or it won't, in which case D3 and buddies have another monopoly unless someone contests them. That could be the future of BTL etc.

Evolution in Eve - it's a beautiful thing.

Ed: From a market perspective you could speculate that those mods might bounce back once the incursion griefers get bored, in which case buy now - or you could speculate that they may never bounce back in which case you just lost billions.

^^^ You're just as dumb as the OP, incursions have nothing to do with this.

Hahaha. Immediately after I posted I thought to myself "hmm I wonder if they fixed the idiotic default sorting method on contracts and that's what this guy was seeing."

Roll

While I'm well aware that I CAN sell modules for well above market price to idiots like the OP and occasionally have, (though clearly not anymore), modules priced this way move far more slowly, as Tekota said. It's much better for me to take a rapid but modest profit on a large volume of items and go back to my suppliers for more than it is to take a larger but much slower profit on a much smaller volume of items by hoping some idiot stumbles along. You'd know this if you were able to compare the items in my contract history to the market price at time of their sale.

Yeah. A fair goon businessman. Shocking, I know.

You can see my outstanding contracts too, how about you take a gander at them and compare prices.

Or you're just trolling. Blink Alt of goon or just a pubbie trolling for some reason, that's the question...

Shocked an imposter!

No, really. While I'm sure you won't believe me, that's not actually me (Goonfleet Investments vs Goonfleet Investment Banking). I do happen to know exactly who it is, though, because he brags about it to me on a regular basis. P

You'll note that if you search for contracts that are actually from my corp, they're all priced to the market, or what the market was when they were posted in the event that I got undercut.

It wasn't me dear friend, as we have just discussed in gs_isk. I am deeply saddened by this change in default contract sorting however.
