Possible to switch to old Neocom?

I appreciate the effort that went into this new Neocom, and I can see that other players may find it very useful. For me, however, it feels very clunky/adds unncecessary time to what I'm doing. On top of that, my screen is rather large and at a high resolution, so it makes finding specific things on there a real pain.Again, this is just my own personal experience and I don't mean to speak for everyone.

That being said, is there an available option to allow me to just switch back to the old one? It worked very well for what I needed, was easy to use and accomplished exactly what I wanted. I'd love to have it back.

There is not.

If you want to discuss it however, CCP has a thread setup where people can provide feedback about this latest patch:

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

Can't you just put the original buttons back in the same order as before the patch, and forget the excellent change ever happened?

Well, I see you can not remove the channels button, that needs to change!

You can also drag it out to make the buttons huge

I can't believe people actually ask these questions. You would hope that people playing this game understood some basic programming concepts like "The old one is gone. It is REPLACED by a new one"...

I can't believe people actually make posts like these. You would hope that people playing this game would underSTAND (fixed for you there) some basic human computer interaction concepts like "Customizable User Interface" and "Options"...

If you understood even a little bit about computer science, or even had a passing knowledge, or knew someone who wrote something in BASIC once, you would know that this is quite possibly the most asinine, mentally challenged thing you could have possibly said. Literally, of all time.

Not only are you clearly way out of your area of expertise here, but I hear everyone who plays video games has both an interest in and great knowledge about programming.

Also, import oldNeocom.

I'm guessing people are just lazy. It's just a Neocom for cripes sake; adapt and overcome or something.

rofl.

It's only the primary UI for the entire game. Not like it's an important change or anything. Jeez, get over it!

Epic.

Or smaller a great deal more control and is only version 1 which means more good stuff in the future.

Yes, it's certainly the users that should adapt to the UI. Adapting the UI to ther user's needs would just be, you know, sensible.

Edit: I actually quite like the new Neocom (Even though the constant blinking of the chat button is on the verge of making me homicidal), my point is just that a UI design, and definitely a rework, should be done to adapt the UI to the players.

I guess they are scart. Who knows looks good to me.

The chat blinky is redundant I suppose unless you go with it minimized but I already ignore it so not sure.

Geez you have no idea about me, dude, nothing at all. You have clearly said nothing by saying all that melodramatic stupidity...

Some time lets sit down together and talk about z/OS, OS/390, MVS, JES2, DB2, IMS, IDMS, VTAM, NCP, CA7, ESP, OPC, ITIL, etc, etc. I'm talking about Systems' Programming not code monkey Application crap. We could swap war stories from the last 30 years....

Clearly? Not likely... 90% of the programmers I work with I swear learned their trade flipping burgers and counting the zero's and ones...

I wouldnt mind putting them back in the same order if they still had words. I like being literate and as such I enjoy reading what my buttons do without having to hover my mouse over them. (But i do admit to not being a pictures person so i really do never remember which icon stands for what, and due to the simplifcation to remove reading from the system it actually significantly increases the amount of time it takes me to find what I want)
