Me too, this is another step in the right direction CCP. Good job!

My only criticism would be that there is no option to remove the chat icon. That icon will be blinking incessantly for those of us in a lot of chat channels. The channel tabs convey this same information just fine so there's really no reason to force this icon on users.

Try right clicking on the neocom and click "disable blink notifications". I don't know if that will work but it's worth a shot!

I'd like chat windows to minimise to the chat button, though.

I have a specific comb for my beard.

The problem with this approach is that I'd still like blinking on my wallet/contract icons. Thanks for the advice though!

There is a bar just below the character portrait. Mouse over that. When your queue is due to empty within 24 hours, the blue bar empties.

There are still problems with the new Neocom


  1. Chats don't minimize to the bottom/don't minimize in groups
  2. Opening the browser, the log, and the character sheet all spawn new buttons. What the hell? I can understand the Training Queue spawning a new button because it is only a tiny sliver of a button but other windows with buttons should minimize to the buttons that already exist for them.
  3. Groups are un-nameable.
  4. Cannot turn blink off specifically for the chat button. I want blinks for wallet, but not for the chat button.


Otherwise I like the new Neocom. Hopefully CCP will fix these minor annoyances.
