What is the goal of this event? Make players undock and do stuff in space? The rewards are not nearly good enough to achieve this. You can earn more by staying docked and doing some station trading.

It doenst even add new content. The developers just picked some existing, generic PvE activities and called them challenges.

Don't look at this as an Event, look at it as a proof of concept.

The challenges are simple, the rewards are poor but this is just a test run to work the bugs out (like the challenges getting stuck Roll)

Once CCP are happy with how The Agency runs they can then add more interesting and diverse challenges and better rewards.

Basically this month is a beta test.

Funny thing, I scanned for these sites, got there and every NCP ship was wrecked. But the site was still there. I scanned another site, same thing, but now I read the little window popping up before warping which says that destroying a certain structure would help the studies or something like that. So I looked for that structure in that cemetary, destroyed it and *bing* 10 points. Well, that was easy.

And yeah, for Newbies like me these "crappy" incentives are quite cool. I would never had bought a BC and have it scanner fitted, for 1 or even 5 Plex are quite money for me. Killing Lvl 1 rats is a task every newbie performs regularly. So I also consider this a new player event, perhaps to bring some free Plex on the market.

Kill 25 rats
Kill 5 rats in belts
Run 1 scanned combat site
Get 1million in bounty

Noobs can easily earn 40 those points per day.

But bittervets are crying because there are an extra 8 points available for older players with BC and T3C.

No, tests are for the test forum.

This is a travesty.

But the battlecruiser you bought and fitted was worth 3 times more than the rewards you will get for participating. Youve actually lost money so far.

OK, a single plex is not as expensive as I thought. But do you think I wouldn't have bought a BC in my career if it wasn't for that event? Perhaps CCP wants us to try different ways, these were my first scanning probe experiencies since the career agent times.
Anyway, I like my Myrmidon. If there wasn't that golden rule: "Never fly something you can't afford to lose." It's like a Porsche in the garage...

Doesn't look like this has anything to do with new players or old players or what have you players. This is probably a test run for a "daily quest" system to give players something more to do after logging in than just checking market orders and the skill queue, and then logging out again. Can't make the rewards too good if it's just random stuff, though, that many players that actually play the game will simply complete on the side.

The problem is why you can't get out of it, if you don't like it!?
When you ask in "help" channel, they tell you to close or minimise the windows or turn off the notification. LOL. lol. lol.
Are they stupid or sarcastic or arrogant?
Maybe you want to do a Den or Forlorn site without those ships being accounted in The Agency. Simply check out or close or log off The Agency. You can't.

Why CCP? Why do you force every player to be a part of this Agency trash?

People said that last year about the Scope event (it was very similar).
This year's event was also on the test server for quite a while.
Development seems to be really slow. How many CCP employees are actually working on PvE content? One intern?
I wouldnt be surprised if most of devs got moved to work on VR stuff.

Uh, yeah....I was all stoked, thinking it was gonna be something cool like the rogue drone event, at least in that one I got a pretty sweet attribute booster, some cool skins, it was worth my time. Plus fitting up a ship that could alpha the end boss to troll other players was a lot of fun in itself.

This feels more like a tutorial than an event.

Only now I took a closer look at the rewards..
I really thought the first rewards was 95 PLEX and last rewards was 285 PLEX - seemed worth trying (0,5 month sub approx).
Just now I noticed that it was 95 points for 1 PLEX (2,8mils) - haha) nice joke, CCP! :)))
As for event itself - no dedicated sites in space - means no hunter killers tactics (like with skins) - could be better, imo.
