Hello and welcome to Eve,

As a new player who's looking for tips about the game, I think the EVE New Citizens Q&A sub-forum is a good place to start.

Just remember that these forums will soon be shut down and turned into 'Read Only' due to CCP activating new forums here : https://meta.eveonline.com/

Good luck and may you have a long rewarding career here in Eve.

I recommend the E-Uni Wiki , it's full of content, fits for noobs, etc.

Join their in game chat also, a lot of players hang out there and help newbros.

I recommend joining my discord and messaging me with any questions you've got ;)

The best advice straight off the bat though, try everything you can, never consider something impossible or off limits due to ISK or SP. In EVE, if you can think it, you can build it, if you can see it, you can take it and if you join a HS mining corp, you'll probably leave the game in a months time.

Otherwise, have a good one and best of luck o/

The sentiment behind this advice is the best piece of advice you will get here.

Join a group. Doesn't matter which.

EVE is not a solo game. If you try to solo it you will miss out on the best of game play. Join a corp, join an alliance. Make in-game friends. Play the game. Undock and get into fights. Join a big industrial group and work your way up. etc. etc. etc.

Eve can be played solo. Alliance play is very overrated. Most don't give a **** about you or your overall game.
They only want you in fleet to pvp. Create your own game and fit everything else around what you enjoy doing.

Then leave the game in a month after bashing your head against a wall or create a **** tier alliance that just chews up other new players and spits them out.

EVE is a PVP centralized game where culture and community play into it a great deal. I would urge you to join a new bro friendly alliance, that reside in SOV NULL, yes you will be a number for a while, but you will learn and earn. In a few months to a year, or just when you feel confident in yourself, join a smaller corp or alliance then build.

My top recommendation, as much as PANFAM are AIDs, is Pandemic Horde, they do a lot right and generate a lot of content, on top of this they are filled with people who want to help you enjoy the game, so you're questions will always be answered. They also have a smorgasbord of income opportunities and will drill you full of information, you'll feel confident in EVE in a month or two.

This 100%.

I've been playing this game for over 9 years and have never joined a player made corp. I've made a lot of friends over the years, most of them joined a player corp and ended up leaving the game yet I'm still here.

Take from that what you will, I'm just saying you don't have to join a player corp to enjoy this game.

I personally see no good for a noob to live in the too-much safety in sov null.
