One thing that is missing that will help alot of people is a REDO function for failed analysis.

I often find when i miss something that if i had had the chance to look it over and realign/detrend/fold on top of the correct place/places I may find out what I am missing sometimes.

The simple "you failed, this was right" with out a chance to emulate the correct analysis is not any help at all as most of the time you can not pick out the trends from the zoomed out view to see where you went wrong or what it was that you missed.

The redo would be 0 xp or half xp or something. A little reward for actually trying instead of rushing through them would be a good incentive.

As it stands now you can rush through them and just pick out the "easy" test ones, do them correctly to keep your accuracy at a decent level, and just randomly select trends for the rest not really helping anything at all.

The whole point of the grading is so they can give weight to your analysis when you're looking at samples that don't have a pass/fail attached to them.

Letting you redo those failures would defeat the point.

Those are not the ones I am referring to. Those do not give a pass/fail. They give a consensus %. The ones I am talking about are the pass fail ones. I think there is something to be learned by having the opportunity to go over the failure.

Much like every other way we teach humans to do a thing, when they fail, we show them how and why they failed so they may improve themselves.

You have a much harder time getting a monkey to do what you want when you tell the monkey he failed and just walk away.

Those are the ones cades talking about. Your accuracy decides whether your contribution is useful or worthless. Being able to redo them would give people who are not very good at spotting the right things more weight in the consensus than they should have.

So, only have the first one count, but be able to retry it for nothing but practice?

Almost pointless, for anyone who wants anything but practice, but useful for people who are trying to increase their skill and do better in the future.

Most of the test slides are Bs anyway.
99 percent of the actual consensus slides won't have any transits.
