Hi.

Before DT I was happily logged in. I've just applied the patch and now I'm getting a massive list of errors and can't start the client. Using Win7.

Verification Failure.jpg

It's telling me to run the repair tool. Ironically! that's returning errors as well and won't run either?

Same here. And here

It becomes a common problem.

Have you tried running the repair tool already?

Sure thing. And it spits an error too.

The Repair Tool spits an error or the EVE Online?

The more details you post the better I can help you:

  • OS version?
  • Which virus scanner are you running?
  • Any logs you can get your hands on?

Repair tool just pops up with "a new version is available" then doesn't do anything, and just says errors occurred.

We had an issue in an older version not granting Administrator access correctly, can you try running the repair tool as Administrator?

Sure, i'm running repair tool under WinXP and with an administrator rights.
It drops an error message at step 7 (last one).

Can you make sure that there is no ExeFile.exe running on your computer?

It might have not shutdown properly after you got the error message.

I also had that problem (closing the .exe file)

Opened task manager and closed the file. Then ran Repair tool and the client started.

Now if only CCP would get the server back up running again.

Yep. It works. I closed ExeFile process in Windows Task Manager and after this repair tool runs smooth.

EVE client is available now. Thanks.

IF YOU RUN INTO A VERIFICATION ERROR AFTER INSTALLING THE LATEST EVE ONLINE PATCH PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

  • Open Windows Task Manager and check if there is still an ExeFile.exe Process running, end the process if that is the case.
  • Run the repair.exe located in the EVE Online installation (if you run into problems try to run it again as Administrator).

PS. Thank you very much everybody for hanging in.
