Raitaru is bonused for manufacturing, research and invention. You can use it for refining but will get no bonuses from the structure itself. Basic refining yield from the service module is 50%

The service module consumes 360 fuel blocks at startup and 5 fuel blocks/hour after that.

Bonuses come from rigs. A Standup M-Set HS Materials Reclamation 1 rig (~ 550 million ISK) will increase the refining yield to 52% and a Standup M-Set HS Materials Reclamation 2 rig (~ 2.7 billion ISK) will increase it to 54%.

New structures called refineries will be introduced in the winter expansion that are bonused for reprocessing.

You'll need to do the math to decide if you'll be reprocessing enough material to justify the cost or if you'll be better off using one of the public facilities in your area.

Edit: you need a different rig for Ice and different rigs again for low/null/wormhole materials. The rig bonuses do not apply when reprocessing anything but the specific ore or ice they are intended for - read the fine print in the info sheet!

You can fit any 3 rigs the structure has the calibration points for. [T2 rigs are very expensive, and rarely used, especially on anything other than the smallest structures, the Astrahus and Raitaru.]

You can also fit rigs and modules that the Upwell structure doesn't get any additional bonuses for. Example: a clone service on a Raitaru.

I recommend going to the test server, buying an Upwell structure (everything is 100 ISK there), and trying stuff out.

To earn ISK on the test server: buy the largest ship you can afford (100 ISK), platinum insure it, undock, self-destruct. Repeat until you are a trillionaire.
