ok im going to jump right into it.. iv been playing EvE Online since 2010 sitting on 60 mil SP and only 9 bill assets but i love this game.. i love the social interactions and people i find here.. eve tends to draw in a lot of different people of all skill types each seeking there own unique experience with in the game and universe created within it.. this game is all about getting to know people making connections and working together to complete a common goal, or to counter this working in large or small groups to take out the other guy and again follow a common goal.. all the interactions in eve are done with a text chat box or VOIP and other voice communications...

few years ago you created a buzz and pissed off most of the EvE community for putting efforts into the station environments creating the wonderful docking / undocking visuals we now have.. the ability to to stand in my hangar and get a true sense of the mass scale of some ships you only get while in the station...

shortly after this you added the captain's quarters allowing us our own space in the station and bringing the Roll play factor up to a 10 of 10 score... in my eyes... the character editor you created for us is one of the best iv seen in any game yet... and its been like this fore a few years now... its amazing how meany different ways one can create there Avatar.. nothing rivals this so far and iv looked... iv always wished that you might sell the tech to a game who would make use of it... skyrim even modded can't compare tho they tired...

now that dam station button
you gave us a station you gave us a landing pad and captain's quarters to call home..the station had been undergoing decompression for 4 damn years now you need to hire a new crew to work on that **** cause you're getting scammed by the current guys doing the repairs Blink

now to my point... this universe Of EvE is growing the login stats topping out around 36k people online at peak hours " this may be higher " with everything you have created for the player we now are forced to have interactions with each other and communication is key... black Ops people are running all over trying to embed them self in corp / alliances the jita chat is about the only one that's active.. people are not really active online unless somethings going on... we have 3rd party programs for this Slack mumble TS3 etc. all the real interactions are taking place outside the game when you have all the ability to create this with in the game....

Reopen the Station project Please... the ability to interact with people in a VR first person to be able to met up and have corp or alliance meetings in station environments adds just that more realism to the Roll players of eve creates space for people to interact with each other.. maybe even taking it the next step and allowing people more opportunities to connect with each other on all the different levels this type of environment would create

rather then just having people yelling in local all the time we could have a trade section in the stations. like recreation of wall street with ever on in the room on a local chat for trade that opens as they enter the space...
entertainment i know this is a gray area but we all know that one ISK Girl selling cam shows for isk... but with that aside would it not be kool to have more personal interactions with your corp mates in game... ?> putting a face to the voice...

i know the community flipped becaue you put efforts in to creating this system i am envisioning ... that said you all have done so much wonderful work and made so meany amazing changes to the game over the last few years.. the player base is happier now then before...

i know ships weapons storyline and ingame events release dates take priority as we do not want a repeat of the Jita Riot.. that said i think we are ready to open that door... i think if done proper to create a ingame avatar supported chat room and social space with in eve is only the next logical step create a fully 3d environment in the stations give us a real trade hub.. give us a social space to communicate n grow in.. if you give this door another shot... give us the ability to truly interact with each other... words go a long way but when you can see the face behind them it's goes a lot further...

to leave that door unopened and every station in EVE in constant decompression would be a dishonor / disservice to the people who poured there heart and souls into this character creator , station environments, every single ship in the game that can only be truly appreciated when standing next to your ship and seeing the sear mass and size of them... ya i can park a rifter next to my thanatos and see the size but why.. when you have already created a perfect system for it.. only to abandon it and let the hard work of your dev team be forgotten...

just a thought... keep up the good work... i love EVE.. in 7 year iv never found anything else like it... not saying to hold the content back so you can work on this project " that is the real reason the riot took place" but maybe add it your project list please or make a new team just to work on the completion of the station environments and interpersonal player interactions...

Agreed, however the character creator is a bit dated now and in need of being spruced up. The Corp logo creator is the worst right now though an needs to be completely redone.
For an mmorog there's never been much in the way of actual roleplay sadly.

It would be a good idea to open the hatch to space.

It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid.

Otherwise use the half life engine for walking in space. It has a nice pistol whip which is needed in Eve.

It's a shame that a lot of less complex and intelligent games has all of these features, like chat and meeting space, bars, markets, even lecture halls.

And - YES, it attracts players, because they need to switch from grinding and roaming sometimes. Every activity becomes boring if you have no option to relax and just hang around.

I saw a lot of disapointed coments from newcomers, who tried EVE and were looking for full "space expirience", but found only "space Excel". Avatar gameplay is essential for such expirience.

CCP aleady has an engine for player interaction. They just need to take it back from trash can.

Eve's engine makes really nice stills but needs to be drastically scaled back to have frames per second.

The issue is, it serves no real purpose, most of the playerbase wouldn't use it, why exactly does development time, assets and money need to be spent on this feature, detail exactly what CCP would stand to gain by spending those resources here instead of on other more useful projects?

Personally i don't see a point in WiS and CCP would seem to agree, i would have deleted the CQ after canning the project but thats me and CCP decided to just leave it, WiS is as dead as the dodo at this point and personally i won't miss it, it didn't really add anything of value and my avatar has remained unchanged since i started playing the game in 2004 (outside of the forced recreation when they updated the art assets years back but i just used the generated version they made based on the old original one) and i see no need to sit there playing space dressup when nobody is going to see nor care, hell i've seen people who even disable character portraits in chat because even those don't serve any real purpose either

You really need to have solid reasons for why CCP should even bother with it

You didn't even read it, right? Just saw "another WiS thread" and hot-drop in it with yours "i think it has no use, people don't need it, CCP delete HQ pl0x".

In every WiS thread people give a lot of reasons, a lot of them tell why they need WiS, just to let another "real spaceships fan" come with his "NO ONE NEED IT, I SAID! NO ONE!!"

Well, we'll keep on trying even if it'll take another 10 years for CCP to get how to make EVE popular.

Uhm nope? Or did i miss something. I admit your wallet will be bigger with this approach but not everybody wants to socialize in games for what reasons ever. Thanks CCP that you do not forget the solo players, unlike many other MMOs.

Just my two cents but would it not be possable to use the operations room from dust 514 where you be in a station with other player before the match start its not being used anyway. I'm not a programmer but all the 3d render and modelling already done, just needs to make the door in the captains quarters connect to it it not the biggest room but would be good for an initial test to see who would use it might be suprized at the amount of folks that would

Walking in statons can be made even as separated game just under the same client with Eve: if you don't need it - you just don't load it.

[CODE.] just lose an opportunity. Imagine how it would be to bump miners in station corridors to death and throw 'em out through air-lock.

Your argument doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Sorry, what was the supporting argument in the YouTube clip? Back when Incarna was first released back in 2011 that there were reports of overheating GPUs. Most Mmo have simple character design with character creation. Eve has a more complex character designs and is on a single server. I understand some people have no common sense, Hal Morsh.

current walking in station on my computer Nvidia Geforce GT730, I5-4460s cpu, 12 gig ram, direct x 11, shader 3.0

= 11.75 Frames per second in the hanger at max quality, 24.8 frames per second at max performance.

Add additional avatars to that scene it would drop even further. Needs some love if it ever was to be useful. It would be doom II multiplayer on dial up if implemented today.

60 frames per second not using walking in station engine on max performance setting.
