Skill queue change - Allow queueing of skills whose pre-requisites are earlier in the queue

I am hoping there is already a way to do this but if there is not please consider this an official "idea". This is something that constantly annoys me about the skill queue in EVE.

My character is currently training towards the skill Heavy Assault Missile Specialization. In order to train this skill I need to first learn a bunch of pre-requisite skills - Heavy Assault Missiles V, in this case.

What I would like to be able to do (just as an example) is queue the skill Heavy Assault Missile Specialization BEFORE I have Heavy Assault Missiles trained to level 5 ONLY IF Heavy Assault Missiles V is in the queue already.

TL;DR: e.g. Skill 2 requires Skill 1 to be trained. Let us queue Skill 2 if we have Skill 1 queued before it.

The system could give an error stating you don't have the requisites queued first. If I am at work, asleep, or otherwise pre-occupied it means I am potentially losing precious, precious hours towards my beautiful missile launchers (/whatever).

This idea makes perfect sense to me and I'm not sure how it could be abused. I'm actually curious why this has not always been a feature of the queue; if I'm missing some kind of obvious abuse.

Regardless, in my limited wisdom I perceive this as something that would benefit EVE. Fly safe.

Probably because the act of adding to the queue sends a query to check what skills you already have. My guess would be that the queue can't query itself.

To be honest I really don't think this is an issue that needs any priority dev input. Its hardy a game affecting issue.
