Had your mistress's husband or his offspring, Ms. Jenneth, dissolved upon the application of holy water, it would not have been an incident of foeticide or homicide but rather demonicide. There was never any possibility of a human being murdered; if I be right, a demon would have been destroyed; if you be right, your mistress and her husband would have gotten a little wet.

A little wet and really mad.

If it were just me, Mr. Nauplius, I'd happily pour the whole jug over my head to demonstrate that I don't go up in a puff of sulfurous smoke.

It isn't just me. The Praefecta believes in the Amarrian God, and there's only so far she'll go to appease the concerns of a person she not very surprisingly sees as a heretic. The cost of setting your mind at ease is letting you attempt to banish her baby boy using, to her eye, heretical rites that almost certainly don't work, but allowing the attempt would be just basically unconscionable: appeasement of a heretic, and a wink at heresy, at her family's expense.

There's no way I could do something so profoundly offensive to her.

SmileAh, now I see what this is about.

Miss Daphiti, congratulations with the birth of your son. May his light shine bright.
And after all Nauplius has said about your husband, I really have to meet him.

Peace.

Silly Mister Nauplius. Demons can't give birth, they lay eggs!

No wait, those are chickens I'm thinking about. Meh, close enough!

This thread has become so off the rails as to be beyond redemption

Nauplius, before you make accusations, show proof rather than mindless hot air. If you are unable to do this then shut your mouth

Wait, so, if I'm a lust demon does that make my children demons too?

Are you a devil or an angel

Sent here from heaven or from hell?

Sweet temptress, I'm wrapped in your tangles

Can't find my way out of your spell

If you were a lust demon, then probably yes. Are you a lust demon?

It's actually pretty comforting to see you drawing this distinction, Mr. Nauplius.

For a while there it sounded kind of like, well....

I am really wondering what game you are playing here Nauplius?

It's not just the torture of captured Matari.

It's watching how it affects the other capsullers. Making them jump through hoops doing your dirty work. Watching the after-effects when it is said and done.

And then do it all again.

As I have said before, you are charlatan, and a fake.

You are just a Beast as described by The Apocryphon.

Not worth of ascension or to be among the fallen.

Just to be put down.
