Yeah, pretty disappointing. The evolving background and story is what got me and I guess a lot of others into eve. The chronicles have gone down in quality and frequency, the most recent ones felt like they have just been crowbarred in to explain some of the new modules and changes. Not to say they are bad, just not as good as before.

Some planetary events linking with Templar One in preparation for Dust and some movement with the arek jalaan/sleepers thing would be nice. Loads of stuff you could do to be honest.

Did some/all of the Lore/background people get laid off or something?

I thought they're working on that Eve-Pedia thing that integrates seamlessness into the client..
There was a blog from CCP Dropbear 6+ months ago about it and I think I remember him saying that they will have to scale back on the current RP/Background production to make this possible.
