Am I misunderstanding 'use combat music' setting?

Right now 'Use combat music' is OFF in my settings, and 'Override Dynamic music with classic EVE music' is ON.

However, when I run NPC missions and activate gates, many times the music switches to the more aggressive stuff. ("Remember back when I said yo?" No. No I don't remember.)

How do I keep this from happening? I want the current mellow Eve track to keep playing, as if nothing had happened.

Thanks!

I did kept it on but slided the volume control to zero.

that sounds like the dynamic music option. Might want to check the "Override dynamic music with Classic EVE music" box

I'm sorry. I should have also mentioned that I have Override dynamic music with Classic EVE music _on_. I would have thought the combination of these two settings, the way I have them, would prevent gates from activating combat music.

It's CCP code. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
