I live in the shadows. Some people understand, some don't. Doesn't matter. I've tried, numerous times, to live like any other. This has proven itself impossible for me. And my family. When you know things, you're forced to live there. It's not necessarily easy, but not necessarily difficult either. Nevertheless, I made an attempt to protect our Citadel, it worked, and now I may return to my family. I now spend time in Dodixie selling off-hand items. It doesn't pay well, but it works. At least I'm not eating frozen food packages in the dark anymore. We still take a lot of heat for selling there, but it seems to be reasonable for now. Should anyone need anything I will be in Dodixie. Fly safe.

... yeah ... we're capsuleers. There aren't a lot of us-- maybe none-- who really need to live a life in the shadows, even if under a sane regulatory regime maybe some of us should.

Unless ... maybe if you look at low/null/W-space as "the shadows." Which, Dodixie isn't anyway, so....

They can be quite comforting when familiar.

As to Dodixe, well she has attracted some unseemly types of late, but still, she remains my preferred market.

If you were at any point in your capsuleer career eating pre-packaged frozen food for any reason other than "I like it..."

If you feel like you're "taking heat" for selling in Dodixie...

If you feel the need to retreat to "the shadows" for some form of safety...

This may not be the life for you. Perhaps you should look into being, I dunno, an accountant or something.

Brother, unless you're making soft backups of your memory, then hiding in the dark won't be doing you a whole lot of good. God forbid a shelf fall on you or something. That pod's your immortality; A lot of people seem to be forgetting that.

If I knew a man was out to axe me, I'd be stuck in my pod 24/7. Maybe add a nutrient solution and feeding tube to my ectoplasm in the pod, and market a new "fish food" system. Guarantees you never need to leave your tank!
