1. What is the maximum Skill points, currently, can a person get in the game?

2. Furthermore, has anyone acquired the maximum skill points?

All right. I was hoping for an exact number, I think it would be in the hundreds of millions(?), but I guess your answers will do.Smile

By the way, the skill injectors are quite expensive, so that must have taken significant resources, whether isk or real money, for those people to acquire top tier Characters.

The amount is between 200 and 300 million SP i believe.

The character who got full of SP was one of casino owners and had trillions of ISK.

1a. I believe the maximum skillpoints that can be achieved is somewhere in the range of 400 to 450 million.

2a. Yes, but only with the use of skill injectors. Otherwise, it would take 20-something years to max out every skill in the game.

But I sense a larger question behind what you are asking; how can I get (or how long does it take to get) maximum skillpoints so I can have "maximum power?"

The answer to that is; you don't need "maximum skillpoints" to have "maximum power."

To quote myself from another thread regarding skillpoints:

To put it another way; even though you train yourself to swing a hammer down harder, faster, and for longer... it does not mean you will be more effective at hitting nails and/or not bending nails as you hammer them down.
That takes finesse more than raw power... which takes practice to attain.

Basically, your skills will not make you "better" in a contemporary sense. They will simply give you an "edge" over everyone else.
The real trick in learning to use your skills and equipment properly (see: finesse).

not to mention that there are plenty of skills that you might never even use or need. I have a seperate industrial character, which means I have zero need to train any industry skills on my main. that alone shaves off almost 100m sp that I don't need to bother with.

same with the corporation management skills, even if someone does run their own corp. the vast majority of them will never have more than 100 members (even with alts) making the mega-corp, empire control and sovereignty skills useless for most. so thats another 5mil sp you don't need. and i'm sure there are plenty of others.

When skill injectors were introduced, the maximum number of skillpoints was 486,144,000. At the time, 1 player achieved this using skill injectors valued at 1.7 trillion ISK http://eveboard.com/pilot/IronBank

Can't recall what skills (if any) CCP has added/removed in the past year but the number probably hasn't changed much.

It would take over 20 years to train these skills the old fashioned way.

Edit: Eveboard seems to be disagreeing with itself: ยท "428 skills trained, for a total of 500,480,000 skillpoints."
Not sure which number is correct!
