Ships & Modules

Hello fellow capsuleers!

I am a long time player returning to the game after a long break. I am currently getting back into the game and trying to find my bearings. Mainly sorting through all the stuff I have in my assets and figuring out what I was doing way back when lol.

Right now I'm also trying to figure out what I want to do. I've re-done the careers + sisters of eve Epic arc to get myself re-acquainted with game mechanics and what not. The free ships was a nice bonus.

I have 2 characters that I would like advice for. The first one is a gallente drone focused char. She has around 5.5M sp right now. I was using a PvE Myrm to do level 4 missions. I was thinking of making this a PvP character using an Ishkur. I would only need to train up Amarr Frigate and some of the specific pvp stuff. I could get this going within a week. The fit I was thinking of using is something like:

Lows:
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Damage Control II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Small Armor Repairer II

Mids:
1MN Afterburner II
Warp Scrambler II
Small Capacitor Booster II (Navy Cap Booster 150)

High:
Light Ion Blaster II, Fed Navy Antimatter(drones) or Void S(shiny things)
Light Ion Blaster II
Light Ion Blaster II
Small Gremlin Compact Energy Neutralizer

Rigs:
Small Anti-Explosive Pump I
Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Drones:
Hobgoblin II x10 OR x5 and Acolyte II x5

This was posted on these boards and I got some really good advice from the OP. If anyone has input I would love to hear it :)


The second character is a Caldari char with roughly 10M sp. She was flying a Drake doing L3's and L4's as a group with friends, also some covert ops pvp fleets. Those friends no longer play so I feel she has the most flexibility in terms of what I want to do. She is also fully trained for Covert Ops stuff. I was thinking of making her my exploration type character since a Covert Ops build char seems to be able to do the job pretty well. This is probably the character I would need most advice for since I've never done exploration before. I've been reading up on it, watching videos on youtube and stuff. I also completed the exploration career agent so I got a free ship there. My questions are more about what ship I should use, what fit makes sense, which skills I should focus on and that sort of thing. Maybe a quick run down of where to go to get the best bang for my time when doing exploration.

Thank you for the reply. I'm learning everything again (that's what it feels like) so this is helpful. Would you have any recommendation in regards to my second character for exploration?

You could check out the corp Signal Cartel. They are an exploration focused corp and they can offer advice and guidance on pretty much anything exploration related. So they may be able to help you :) They Don't do pvp though, but since you are using two characters you can just join with your exploration char.
