ofc no. There is as many ganking communities as you have ganking and communities definitions, so as many as there are players.

So you're saying there's ganking communities.

You mean, perhaps, griefing comunity. Otherwise every small gang or roaming fleet can be clasified as ganking community.
I don't think it is restricted to Eve. Pretty much forum subculture, you can see it well on Reddit, for example, where posters gang up against anyone daring to have a different opinion.

I say that if you define your own "ganking" and "communities" then for yourself this makes sense. However we are discussing on a forum so talking about something that has no definition is irrelevant.

eg you may define CODE. as a ganking communities, some people will consider that their freighters are part of this community, some will not. The semantic of communities and ganking is too flexible to be used to communicate.

Basically, if you want to accept a ganking community you have to take all players of Eve, which makes talking about a specific community useless.

I got ganked, I stayed because it got me excited to play a game with perma loss.

On the subject of the actual OP though, EVE Survival was an amazing tool when I first started out, I haven't run missions in forever but when I did it was that site that made me successful

but if you are gonna kill it, plese share the source files so others can take up the baton.

Agree 100%.

Gotta say it's a crying shame to see it go, has a lot of good info in it.

Hell I even created and edited quite a few pages in it.

Yeah. Evolution4 without any kind of guide would be......well....not fun. At all.
Or Dread Pirate Scarlett. Or The Assault4 Gurista without any plan....

Wow, sad to see it go.

This is a resource that has helped new players a ton, hell of a lot more then many corps and other players thats for sure.

CCP Quant said something along the lines "players who lose a ship within a week or two are x% more likely to stay". I agree this probably didn't include hours played but he does have the playtime/gank to retention ratio somewhere. Ask next fanfest.

If this were true then CCP wouldn't have made it illegal to gank in newbie systems. Hell they would encourage it to keep more players.
