I played this game with 2 buddies awhile back and enjoyed it, but all we really did was mine and play the market with a private base so we never really explored all the stuff in the game. Consequently, the truth is not only have I not played this game in several years, but I never really understood it with much depth to begin with. My net worth is 4.1B isk and I can't decide if I want to go Omega and get back into this game. If I did, what would I even do? What should I be doing? I have a Raven and a Strategic Cruiser, along with a cargo ship, but feel like I wouldn't have direction, and wouldn't really know what I was doing anyway. Thoughts?

I scoured the Forums I searched Reddit. I did everything every lost pilot does to find a new home. "HOME" something I believed was about where you lived but I only now realize is about who you surround yourself with on a daily basis.

I got recruited into the Corp I am currently in and hit the road running. I logged in everyday if even for an hour or two. I got on comms and visited with everyone who would listen to me & let me listen to them. I learned who each pilot was their quirks and those quirks made them special to me and bonds began to forge. When they were in trouble I would jump to their defense and vice versa when I was in trouble they would always have my back never leaving me behind. I was having more fun than I had ever had in Eve online before....and I've been around a long time. I saw my activity sky rocket, I saw my piloting skills increase 10 fold, and I was learning new things I had never before understood. Every day was a new adventure rather than a struggle to find something to do and people to do it with. Since joining HERETIC NATION I have taken part in amazing fights...both small scale small gang warfare to Large scale Super Capital Brawls. We travel through wormholes and traverse the galaxy quickly hunting Supers and other Capital ships making virtually no one safe even in their own space. We do small Kitchen sink fleets as well as Doctrine Bling Fleets...we do Organized gate camps as well as bust Gate camps with Black ops drops and when we feel it is necessary we pull the Hammer out of the Tool box and Drop Caps smashing our enemies to space dust.

Hello Dumar, To be perfectly straight it sounds like you've just barely scratched the surface of eve. Over 50% of EVE is Player owned space.

Now I know what you're thinking "Null Sec is too risky". Well i'm here to tell you it isn't.

Null sec, in my opinion, is actually safer then highsec. When you own your own space all you do is look at the local channel and you know if there is a threat and as part of a large alliance you have hundreds of friends online when you are to come to your aid it you need it.

In high sec as a single individual its hard to make your mark and say "I helped that happen". Every day in null you play a role in securing or altering the borders and demo-graph of multiple alliances with thousands of members. To be perfectly honest, you haven't experienced the true feeling of the "I Was There trailer" until you've been part of a sov holding alliance.
