Quick question on blitzing Dread Pirate Scarlett

I've never blitzed before, so I prepped my Golem with a MWD and 3 resistance mods plus a Type-A shield booster.

Things were fine until the second-to-laste pocket, and then I ran into some eysight problems.

I saw a whole bunch of ships 34km or less from me, a lot of BS included. I couldn't tell what direction (bad vision), so I didn't want to gamble that flying to the gate would get me further from the ships.

So I chickened out and dropped bastion, took them all out as normal, then proceeded to the gate.

I am going to start blitzing lvl4's in a Mach, however, and I need to be prepared for this mission.

How exactly do you survival the second-to-last pocket? Does the tanking on a Mach plus it's MWD speed far surpass a Golem? If you fly toward the gate, are you getting closer or rather from the ships?

Thanks!!

If your talking about the room where Scarlet can actually be killed (the first room allows her to shrug off any attempt), then I burn toward her with mwd and either Scourge (if Paladin) or faction AM (if Kronos). Usually I can kill her before she jumps, which allows the dropping of the 8m+ implant and completion of the mission. You can always stay and go through the entire missions for bounties and loot, but if you want to blitz it you need something that can apply instant damage (ie, not drones or missiles). So, your answer is, once you jump through the acceleration gate, burn at her with your mwd as you start to target and have already hit your guns to fire on lock.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

machariel + arties + gate key.
Go into first gate 1 shot scarlet -> go into second room and kill scarlet again (10m bounty)
Bookmark or/and scoop the cargo container (8m social +4 implant)
Turn in/remote turn in.

Unless they've changed this mission in the last year since I've done it, you don't need instant damage, missiles work just fine. In the third room she disappears after she is hit once, so you have to make sure you can kill her in one volley. Use EM missiles and she's toast.

You need instant damage applied to kill her in the first room she appears (second room of the mission). Supposidly you can end up killing her twice in one run doing that due to a glitch that spawns her in the third room regardless of whether or not you got her in the second, don't if you still can but others have said you can.

In the second room, she will remain indefinitely until she is aggroed by you or anything else (like drones or EWAR). Pointing her doesn't work to hold her down, so she'll bail even if you use a point or scram, so don't bother with that. I can personally confirm that part, it used to work but it no longer does. In the Third room, however, she will leave after a certain amount of time irrespective of aggression from you or other sources, so while you don't need to volley her in one shot, you do need to press on her hard enough to kill her before she leaves again. Obviously in the forth room she never leaves if she's there, but will NOT spawn in that room if you've killed her in any previous rooms already, unlike that odd bug I was talking about before. Finally, killing her in either the second or third rooms nets an implant worth around 8mil, though she will not drop that imp in the forth room.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

no implant in 2nd room.

blitz mean you go fast and hit fast

arty mach ftw with 500mn
you dont get pointed afaik so you just need enough buffer to pass through room 2 and loot her in room 3

room 1 : warp in, take gate
room 2 : align anire, target him, shoot him, activate 500mn, take gate
room 2 : align anire, shoot him, approach the container, loot both container and wreck(tractor is handy), warp out.
you may even OL propmod at room1 for faster completion.

dont activate propmod on r2/r3 before he is dead or you'd screw your tracking

reward: r2 5M bounty, r3 5M bounty +implant+ crap from wreck
I fit my mach with hyperspatial to get there faster
7arty + standard emp faction, 3 gyros 3 tracking enhancers.

acceleration gates have a big activation radius so I typically double click in space in the general direction of where the gate goes, so as soon as I get inside 2,500m I can click activate gate and instantly warp into the next pocket. If you click approach on the gate you can get to 0 and lose momentum

if the second room has blood raiders they are the only ones that even seem able to hit, but you are going so fast you shouldn't lose too much shield to them.

For this question, I've always been running this mission in a VNI, and never had a single issue with it. (I just don't dare approach her wreck in the last room.)
BTW because or the position of those gates, you can always instantly enter warp if you approach them directly in each pocket.

I usually kill her in a machariel fitted with 3x gyrostabs. She dies fast enough, so I don't run into trouble with the dps.

What you want to do is to take the gates and when shes not running away anymore start instantly aligning to the outgate. Warp away when she pops.
