It would seem that this "bug" has been reported by many people but CCP has said it is not a bug and it isn't happening.

To sum up what is said.

You can fill your skill queue as an Omega, let your subscription expire, and now as an Alpha the character will continue to train those Omega skills for free at the Omega 2x speed. The skill queue only stopping if you log into that account.

I didn't see a bug report forum, if this is a bug move it their, if it isn't and this is working as it should be feel free to let us know.

This is already old news. When you made a new account train only alpha skills sell it to your main account done.

Its not a bug you need still need to pay to activate your clone so i do not see any problems with it. TBH here alpha learning takes longer than your Omega clone. But there is already a marketing for this "trick" people make allot of new alpha clones train them and wait for some years after that`s time is pass. The can sell the sp to make real profit of it and perhaps sell it to blackmarket for real money in the long run.

People are smart and sometimes CCP forget that.

Heck I think one of my characters lost sp trained while omega when dropping to alpha, but I'm waiting on that petition.

Sensational headlines get upvotes. All I'm saying is Eve has taught me to be skeptical, and I don't consider some unnamed poster on reddit to be credible. I don't trust a hangar clear out contract advertised in jita local for 9.5b that is 950m for a reason. My account expires on the 26th, I'll probably give it a week or two.

My main reasons for skepticism are that the API has shown expired accounts as training when they aren't for a long time, and there was a 3 day grace period for expired accounts to continue training. so I don't know if it is a ghost of that or if ghost training is actually back. I need to see more sources.

My comment was not meant to be sarcastic, I was just being confused. He posted that before on reddit so he had time to check that few times. I dont have alphas that were omegas to check it myself. I dont need more characters. And this account is PLEXed to May 2020 so I am pretty much depending on other people in that matter.

When you lose your Omega - then your queue is paused..
if you try this - waiting for like a week - then you will fast figure out that you lost a week of character training.

After some thought, I've come to the conclusion that if this is a thing CCP won't care that much.

From the way it's described, you set it up and then never log in. So no server overhead. It's for SP farmers, so lots of PLEX purchased to buy extractors. It's helping to ease the Character Bazaar into oblivion since training for sale generally requires logging in occasionally, thus resetting the training.

Looks like a win/win if CCP's primary interest is milking as much money as they can from the players. Not so good if they are considering keeping the game interesting for people that actually want to play.
