Hey everyone,

I first like to propose the ability to publicly trade player run corporations. Just think about it, like the stock market corps (having to reach a certain size) can sell shares to the public which in turn give the company some capital. As events unfold such as wars or corporate espionage the value will fluctuate accordenly. This also opens up another plain of conflict as players can slither their way buying/trading/making deals to form truth between them (like marrying off sons and daughters to other kingdoms) or plan a surprise corporate take over.

The casino/card mini game will be great to get into between the same old same old. We all have to admit it gets a tad dull time to time and how cool would it be to take a breather at a pirate den space station and play a high steaks game of Hellix (still working on the name). This would be great to show off players avator in the captian's quarter and keep players in the EVE world by having variate. I have to state NO real money is involved! All in game currency (isk), and will be run buy the game and not 3rd party so no ability (other than the illigal stuff that is still going on outside the game) to influence the system or break it. With a second market where money will be taxed on hands played, might, manage the economy in a way (really don't know what I'm talking about here)... maybe... I like to add it might become popular like witcher 3 card game and lead to mobile market or tabletop sales.

Again not illigal! You can play a mobile poker game where you can buy chips with real money with no need to show I.D or anything. < I keep stating this because people keep thinking I'm actually talking about real gambling, I'm not. If they can do it in assassin's Creed, whicher, Pokemon red and blue, red dead redemtion, fallout, it should be fine here. Also this whole game is about risk management aka gambling.

So you can absolutely 100% guarantee that worldwide there is not one single nation that bans online gambling you buy into with real money?

It's nice to know we have such an expert in international law with us in this forum.

Now, please tell the class why you think it is a good idea for ccp to open this legal can of worms.

We already have corporate shares, so you can already do that. What ensures they have any value and the CEO hasn't just run off with all your money?

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

So, you restrict this "mini game" option to specific regions like everything else on the internet (duh, internet 101). Look, I get it, the word gambling is somewhat a "trigger" word in the political landscape. If you take WOW, EVE, arcade games (the ones you put quarters in), battlefield 1, pretty much any game which you can pay into for in-game currency or (like battlefield 1) receive randomly generated in-game inventory, and/or longer playingtime, you can plainly see real world currency going into the system and no real world currency coming out. Is that gambling? Based on your political leaders definition, if yes, you shouldn't be able to play any of these games at all.

Moving on to my next point, the perseption of gambling. EVE is a game of taking risk over reward, for example: "investing" into the market, in the hopes of profiting, "investing" into your ships loadout before heading out to nullsec to score some shweet loot. Each activity has variables you can take into account to better your outcome which is ISK (in-game money). Replace the word invest with bet and variables with odds and what do you have? The political "negative perseption of gambling" (poker, blackjack, craps). If all it takes is to change the wording, skin, gameplay that is easy done, sir.

If you would actually think about the idea then a sarcastic responce you can see it's possible. Just make it a "trading card game", where, for players to compete with one another everyone has to put isk into a pot and the winner takes all (minus taxes for the Man). If this is still a problem for you or whatever government over you still thinks it's gambling we can set it up/call it a tournament.

Class is dismissed (your sarcastic remark set you up for this one). Look I don't want to get off on the wrong foot, just here to have a peaceful conversation and share ideas. Great question tho, I didn't take that into consideration.

Corporate shares are not traded publicly, they are traded internally with members of said corporation.
