Pop is computer generated garbage, based completely on formulas and recognizable pattern that will never be innovated.

This I have to agree with with most new music. Its garbage. I never claimed to say it was a good song. Someone had just said the line and it immediately reminded me to the similarity to this song line.

Most music these days is repetitive as to be annoying and stick in your head with enough of the one verse being so noticeable as to sell records. Telling stories with songs and musical talent ended a long time ago or its so unpopular youll likely never hear it unless you dig for it.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I beg to differ on that statement.

The popularity of one of Scandinavia's more popular exports (black metal) and the rise and rise of electro-pop artists like Scotland's Chvrches show great musical and storytelling craft, albeit somewhat niche depending on your sonic aesthetics.

I only post here if EvE is offline. Which means my posts are never well timed.

Black metal is recorded with a potato, though Winter Sun, Emperor and SkeletonWitch will always hold a place in my heart.

Chvrches reminds a bit of VNV nation.

But most of the main stream music, Alternative Rock, Nu-Metal, Deathcore, Pop, Country Rock, yada yada is all rewashed hash. To many "Woohoo woohoo's" and copy past drum samples.

I keep adding **** in, but if you need to tune down to A# your just muddying up your sound. Probably a good thing as all you play is 000-00-0-0-1-00-

Also if I hear "TWO CHAINS" another goddamn time...

Im not a metal fan. We used to listen to Metallica and stuff like that to get up for football games in high school but not my thing as I got older so not my area. I lost my HHD a while ago with all my music saved on it and now I try to listen to the itunes radio stations and the repetitiveness grinds on me same with normal radio with the ads even online radio is bad. I need to bite the bullet and reDL all the music I had plus some good stuff. What?

I just have a spotify account for when I'm driving around haha. The quality is the best, but for just driving around it works. The premium is worth as you can listen to whatever you want offline, so no data usage.

And YEAH! Tuttomenui II, I came across Pogo's The Trouble once and was never able to find it after closing out of the tab. Haha thanks!

Thanks for that, I didn't realise the Bushes of Love song had an analogous awesomesause version in the Wiggles in Space franchise.

As for black metal, I've got three black metal albums under my belt. Naturally all recorded on a potato using earbuds as microphones and crappy bitrate video editors to control tinnitus ambience. I'm not lying, but I'm worried about thread-drift. Oh, that's right - girls, singing, black metal, make up...

I only post here if EvE is offline. Which means my posts are never well timed.

Lol before I haunted these forums I haunted FrugalsWorld.com forums. We derailed more threads there than train wrecks in the entire history of mankind. It all be good with me and frankly a conversational thread in GD is odd but welcome.Big smile

Are most of you young folk aware that the Rolling Stones recently had a CD at number one in the charts?

You know when folk went out to make music that they had feelings for.

Ah, those were the days :)

Metallica etc - Black Sabbath having a bad day at the office :)

This is not a signature.

Not generally, most threads in GD end up in the troll collection bin after a page or two of name calling and trash talking.Lol
