Damage in PYFA

I have a fit in PYFA with 4 Med Pulse Lasers II and it's showing 65 DPS. Am I doing something wrong?

1) Are you still using Windows 3.1?

2) Have you got a Resist profile enabled? Right click the DPS panel and check.

Edit: Yes, you have a resist profile active. See how it says "Firepower (Effective)"? Right click that panel and turn off resists.

Toggled resists off and it's up to 113 weapon DPS and 252 DPS for drones.

- there is a pyfa thread in Ships&modules section
- stratios with laser... not gud
- it's about right, also you don't have certain skills (red icon, top right)

for the rest as said above :)

Missed the pyfa thread, my bad.

What weapon would be optimal for this fit? And (for learning) why isn't a laser good?

Noticed the red skill book in the top right, means you dont have the req skills to fly that fit which depending on what it is could significantly reduce your displayed dps.

Same fit shows 165 dps for me and lasers are fine depending on how you're flying it. Since you using a mwd, long point using anything else means you'd be throwing away your range bonus. That said your cap life is abysmal. Personally I prefer to brick tank and brawl w a stratios.

PvP stratios right?

you want neuts in the highs
webs in the mid and your dps are drones ( ~400-450 dps) depending on your skills with 2 dda

buffer tank is 1600 plate
active tank is ancillary armor rep+med armor rep etc...

join a corp with vets that can teach you how to fit a stratios :)
maybe you want start with something less expensive but up to you!
