I just really noticed, but wondered if anyone else has before...when CCP redesigned the barges and exhumers, they made sure to indicate the ship model name on the hull followed by a number. As indicated in these screenshots:

Hulk
Mackinaw
Skiff
Covetor
Retriever
Procurer

Also...the frigate sized ships do the same, as shown here:

Endurance
Prospect
Venture

Due to placement and lighting and not owning them, I could not get a shot of the Rorqual or Orca, but if you look close on both they do say their respective names. However, when you look at the Noctis and the Porpoise...the do not say Noctis and Porpoise but instead say the name of the hull the ships were inspired on, Primae as you can see here:

Porpoise
Noctis

I would probably guess because the other ships had unique models they would have a different hull name and that since the Primae, Noctis, and Porpoise are all based on the exact same model with a different skin that could be the answer. However, how would that explain the Venture, Prospect, and Endurance who all share the same model but a variation in skin?

Could you also direct them to recolor them so they aren't covered in yellow? None of the available skins remove the yellow from them.

Pretty sure that's intentional.

And it was a terrible no good very bad decision.
The old colors were better and not a vomit inducing banana yellow.
For not wanting to add bright garish colors to the game to offset the tone they sure managed to do it by painting the ore ships like clowncars.

If they wanted to change it they should have made them gray with a dark orange color.

Yellow is used extensively in real industry. It adds a nice connection to reality using it in game.

+1 to the OP for a good catch that obviously slipped past the QA Department.

Agreed. Almost all real mining vehicles and machines are yellow, presumably for safety visibility, and it's a nice touch to see this reflected in game.

Yellow being ugly Trump's that sadly.
You'd think at least one skin would fix it to considering theyvemde. a bazlillon skins for them and yet they're all plagued by having bad colors.

Completely agree. The subdued blue and yellow of the old color scheme was perfect. Same with the Primae and Orca. They need to stop fixing what wasn't broken; or in this case fix it back.

The current dull, grimy blue and yellow are just about perfect.

It's like giant construction machines and school buses they are all yellow as a notice grabber.
