By low rated I mean 1-5/10. I'm planning on scanning through Stain with a T3D, wondering if I should find any of those.

No. Null only gets 6-10/10. Low gets 1-6/10. High gets 1-4/10. Try Khanid low or, even better, everyone's favorite deathtrap, Aridia.

Nope but it should. I see more sites in highsec than NPC null anyway. It's actually super boring cause there will be a few sanctums or hard stuff here and there and nothing that can be knocked out quickly in 2 minutes in a cruiser or bc solo. I make more money in high sec than I have with exploration in null. No point going to null when I can get 50-150m a site in high sec from more plentiful sites in complete safety. Hell I see more people in null than I ever did in my usual out of the way high sec system. Especially for events like the gala but now I'm rambling and off topic.
Relic sites are better. 10-30m usually for not much work.
Data sites are still always trash with the exception of ghost sites.

If you go back a few years it used to be 1-4 HS, 4-6 LS, 6-10 NS. CPP changed it as part of their NPE to give noobs a reason to go to LS exploring ect. I assume that they thought NS was a bit to hard core for someone that cant complete a 4-6/10.

This has however brought up a bit of a scanning peculiarity . Each site has a scan difficulty and the difficulty ramps up based on the rating however it was based on which space you where in. So a high level HS site is as hard to scan as a high level NS or LS site so you can be scanning in LS and find a really hard to scan site and it turns out to be some crappy unrated HS site.



LS sites are the best, 1-4/10 have a pretty low drop chance of the good (well any) mods however 5+/10 have a much higher chance (I get a Cruiser BPC from every 3rd 5-6/10, and decent mods every 2 or so, but 4/10 its maybe half that) , this issue is that the higher the site the longer the site time so the rewards scale down as you head up (value of drops does not scale up as fast as site time does in my experience). LS sites are a sweet point, fast site times, expensive mods.

PS 6/10 is one of the best sites (Especially for Gurista, expensive Invul + super easy site) so NS does get some of the action.

You can get 5/10 in hisec with an escalation from a den, and a 7/10 in low from an escalation in a... hub?

Edit: Or if you run hideaways close enough to null, it will escalate in that direction.
