In regards to the changes to POS's and the introduction of "Upwell Refinneries"....

From my point of view, you are going to kill ALL lowsec money generation, and fights based on these changes.

The Fights:
Right now, 75-85% of all fights are based on POS timers. You have your small skirmishes, but for the big entities, these POS timers are hyped and looked forward to based on a stick in space. With the new changes, this will no longer be the case. Even if you hold a moon, there is no guarantee that you will be the one receiving the product, so there is no reason to put up your own structure on any moon. This makes it pointless to even have a structure there. You are decimating any fights that will be in Low Sec because there will just be nothing to fight over.

The Money:
For low sec pirate corporations/alliances POS's and the reactions/moon minerals from them are the way they can afford to keep going. For Shadow Cartel, Snuff Box, Waffles, Did he Say Jump, etc. this is the way they can even afford to play the game. I understand there are some that do other things, but when you have SRP, you rely on making money from these towers in order to replace your pilots ships to be able to go into the next fight. In this new system that will be gone. There is NO PIRATE ALLIANCE, that has a mining fleet laying around to go and collect the minerals, and to make someone do something they don't want to is against the premise of a sandbox game.

The Lifestyle:
Pirate Corps do one thing, they kill people. They don't mine, they don't haul contracts, they don't rent space.... they kill. So, how would a pirate corp (the largest entities in low sec) mine the minerals when the "explosion" happens? How are you supposed to have the 100's of jobs available to be able to create the reactions? It seems there is no one from CCP that has made any effort to figure out even the smallest detail of how this will effect the people that live in the 800 systems of low sec.

The Market:
So, with the new changes (it seems) the only people that are going to be able to produce the material for the advanced ships are going to be Null Sec'rs. They are the only ones that will have the people (with renters willing to crazy on refining belts) to collect the minerals once the "explosion" happens. So with an almost monopoly on the market (based on region of moons and certain minerals) a Null Sec Alliance is sure to be in the drivers seat for this change. So is this the end of Advanced spaceships in eve? Am I to buy plex, spend more money on this game to buy my 4b isk HIC? I guess that would be a win/win for CCP.

These changes for the sake of change benefit no one. This is a complete and utter ridiculous change and it's being made for absolutely no reason at all. "Quality of Life"?, this will make no one's life better and will in fact make most people's lives worse. I implore CCP to read this and figure out where you are heading with this game. The next time you sit down in a meeting and think, "hey, you know what would be a great thing for the game" stop, and realize, if it is a change just to make a change, SCRAP IT. I have to click+drag+shift+6720+enter for every stack of fuel I want in a tower, but I am be able to hear a DONG, every time I enter a new system... STELLAR

People going to Fan Fest, whether you like Low Sec or not, it is a part of the game for MANY players, this change will be the death of it, so when you go out for beers with your friends or you are talking to someone from "Team five O" let them know this is not how this game is supposed to work, it is a sandbox, an open world that allows the player to do whatever they want, not to have to have 100 accounts to do everything, or have one account that has it's training so spread it can't do anything.

Why do people post nonsense that they know will just get locked? They provided an area to talk about this.

I do not like the changes to the mineral supply levels proposed. Making moon minerals a required time sink will decimate T2 manufacturing.

No ships, no kills.

I like the dynamics to the proposed changes - 100% - sounds like the promised ring mining from years ago. However, lacking a passive mineral processing will require more people to commit time to a chore and lose content. Sov holders will need to divert from content to mine moon ore and lose control over the ISK levels needed to maintain activities.

Please incorporate a passive module to drag the ore into the processing facility so that a limited need for people can still be maintained.

So I read the proposed changes and I think they are mostly great and overdue. I really want to see and end to the passive isk printing machines the current moon mining POSs are. I know for a fact they made no sense. I solo ran a profitable low sec set of POSs for years and until finally someone realized it would be easy to take the moons. As a result I sit on a small fortune as the result of very little work or risk. I know that others did way better than I have with just a few more folks and enough support to keep their moons.

This finally rewards folks that are active and organized! This is how Eve should be. I do think there are going to be a time of adjustments to stabilize the supply chains and markets but change is good. This is one element that has remained stale for far too long. I can't wait for this change! I only wish they'd open up all the moons including high sec for this!

This. It's about time the big alliances and power blocks put some effort into making isk. The super pilots can stand to dock up and mine for a little bit. (Most of them have with the rorqual changes)

ps: rip passive income you might have to undock to make some isk, guess that will only create more content, although we wouldn't want that would we

It's a double edged sword.

On the one hand it reduces passive income = good (PI next)

One the other hand it limits the ability of smaller groups to generate moon income, especially those that are PvP Corps with no real PvE activity. To date, you only need one person that is happy to fuel, collect, react, etc.... Now you'll need miners too. Not bad in itself, just not great for small entities.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. The correct thread to post feedback about the upcoming Refineries would be here https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=514921&find=unread where Team Five-o is looking for feedback.

Thanks for playing.
