Are there any in game functional assets, or even purely collectors memorabilia that are considered Jovian?

Before anyone says the names Drifter or SoCT, I'm not talking about those. Those are obvious. I'm talking like first empire artifacts or third empire ship hulls, things like that. I believe very early on in Eve's development, Jovian ships and piloting skills were available to select persons and were rare, do those kind of things still exist?

As collectors items I think it would've been cool for CCP to release antiquated Jovian artifacts, perhaps making them semi functional for industry and manufacturing tasks.

As much as I agree it would be cool to see more of the Jove, it would kill the mystery. In a way it's the same reason why horror movies don't show you the monster, your imagination can create a story much more appealing to you than the designers ever could. I believe that's also why the lore doesn't often paint a complete interconnected picture, instead only peppers details or individual stories to fuel your own imaginings.

Oh I agree, I'm just mostly curious to know what exists as accessible material in game.

I detest that they claim soct are jove. Their ships are too ugly to be jovian. Jovian ships were cool looking.

Well if you're looking for items to collect, there's one set that's about as related to the Directorate as you can get - the body parts of the Ambassador from way way back~

-Blood Drop
-Bone Splinter
-Cerebral Slice
-Epidermis Sliver
-Liver Bile

and the "Complex Fullerene Shard", these all came from the same event back in '04(?)

Capsules are Jovian tech.

CCP Devs used to be considered Jovian and flew some of the real Jovian ships a few times. SoCT say they are Jovian but that is like calling a daredevil Gallente. SoCT is to Jove as SOE is to Gallente/Amarr.

You used to be able to view the Jovian ship hulls in triexporter and in game but The models have been removed.

There has been an event with those body parts (or kind of an event) a few years ago. They were the basis for creating the Drifters or modifying them to what they are today - perhaps...

hm... I think i have a Jovian bone sliver somewhere.

If i remember correctly a loooooong time ago, a Jovian got blown to bits and his bodyparts where spread out across eve or something like that.

Mebbe someone else knows the (correct) story?

I want my complex shards to be a key component in making some short of very rare ship or something :)

The Jovian Ambassador was testing a long range teleporter and got his atoms scattered across space. A race ensued to find his body parts and reassemble him. It was successful iirc.

Right before the Drifters were introduced there was another run on those body parts by someone or something pretending to be Hilen Tukoss, asking folks to drop the body parts in a can in where was it.... Jarzalad Eram. Xtreme linked it up above me.

As for the Jovian ships, the devs have access to a set of unpublished skills such as Omnipotence, and Polaris Frigate, Cruiser, and Battleship that lets them fly them. A while back one of them fell asleep on TQ in his Cockroach and got popped by players. Its on zkill. I would link it but we're not allowed to link kills outside of C&P.
